After flashing the tablet, a Setup Wizard should display on first boot to configure your network, regional settings, etc… If the wizard does not appear, just disconnect your USB cable from the tablet, make a short press on the power button to turn off the screen. After the screen is turned of, press the power button for a short time again to power the tablet, the Setup wizard should appear.

Alright then, I will try this one out over the stock version of "V972Core4_v3.2.1_v1" which I already have now. But, the one thing I like the most above all else with my current stock version of this new rom, is the improved battery time. All I am saying, I really hope this kasty rooted version keeps intact the new battery charge time improvement. All else comes in 2nd place, at least for me. Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the root and the removal of the Chinese apps, but to me, battery time is tops. Once I download and install this kasty version, I will post my findings.

Incredible improvement in battery life, everything is still stable and smooth. watched about 10 music videos with vevo tonight for about an hour. battery was only down to 90%
this is only my initial findings (just did the update this afternoon), as i have not drained it down to 15% yet, i will post back once I have
Antutu scores on this firmware
Total 18924
Cpu 10091
GPU 5358
1008 MHZ (x4) (1535x1952
RAM 2637
I/O 838

So as not to repeat a previous post of mine, I pretty much attest to as being very true to msav's battery life improvement claims. Finally, after what?,.....3 or 4 rom updates?.....that we get a decent rom update which includes an equally decent battery life improvement. So yes people, it is safe now to update to the V972Core4_v3.2.1_v1 rom and still have a fairly good battery charge life. Yea, it's been a long wait.

This ROM is really great, good to see we finally will have some decent battery life to go along with the performance boost we got in 3.2
I do however have my doubts about these benchmark scores... seems almost impossible for such a big leap. I just scored over 20000k with a 1.15ghz clock speed. I notice on the antutu app description on they play store they are calling out ainol and Ramos for cheating the scores on their tablets I wonder if Onda decided they didn't want to be left out of the action... maybe someone with some more technical knowledge on how they cheat the scores could look into it for us.
I'd love to believed the A31 is really this powerfull but at this stage I'm very sus...

I am less interested in the tablet pissing contest tests, and more with usability. If the tablet is smooth and does not glitch when playing my 3d games I am happy. I do not put much into the scores. Â If they are cheating then i would suggest the makers of antutu make their tests more reliable. It will only hurt antutu apps reliability if it can be manipulated. It is possible that the scores are correct, Something was using that battery and that same process could also been using the resources dragging down the score. Â SO it is possible. I just posted the scores to show that battery being fixed did not cause the tablet to lose performance.Â
That being said. I am really happy with this tablet. It just sucks that I had to beta test for them for a half a year. On the other side. at least they are making improvements. Other tablet manufacturers Never come out with any update to their crappy firmware and leave their customers with a pile of junk. (Zenithink)
so in the end at least it was not a total waste of my money.

Well what can I say Admin, yet again you bring us a wonderful firm v3.2.1 up-date and its excellent, load it lastnight, played around until (from 10pm) 12pm, then this morning from 8:30am till now, & its still going strong. Â Battery life is verygood, not excellent, but a massive improvement (very good). Â Thanks again guys, wonder stuff. Â I will keep U up-dated if there is more on this firm Â
By the way a little greedy I suppose --- 4.3 jelly bean
I would also like to add that I new it was a firmware problem which was not taking into account the battery, not hardware issue as some would point to. Â Keep up the good work guys

Waiting for the v2 hardware version, thanks.
I am currently in holidays, away from the computer, new firmwares are done in priority for devices where we have supporting users or high demand from the public.Â
Cheers.

I'm still testing battery performance. I started with 40% and within five minutes, on very light use, I've got 34%. It is still a preliminary test, not enough to report a problem. I will charge to 100% and test again watching movies on wifi.
A strange thing about this ROM is the minimum frequency. On no-frills CPU I found the min. freq. is 1GHz, just like the max. freq. That means the clock will be the same all the time! That is not, usually, a very good idea to save battery energy.
I will test using these default clock settings. It doesn't make any difference if I'm playing games or watching movies, the CPU clock will be maxed out anyway using fantasy governor.
But anyway, I still think reducing min. CPU freq. will be an efficient way to improve battery performance. I will test that too.
Up to now I can say this ROM is very smooth and reliable. I have to test games and other apps to be sure.
It sucks to be a beta tester!
