yesterday I loaded the 1.32 on my v972 and it can work again after it had the bootloop-problem....thanks a lot for it
Is there a chance, to make a kind of backup to avoid the reinstall of all apps and setups if it might be necessary to reinstall on future problems?
Another question is to the superSU. After starting it tells me, that it is necessary to actualize it. On doing the installationOK it say something like "installation failed". What might be the problem for it, how to solve?
Thanks to the community, great to know you.
There's a link for CWM Recovery in the forum, that may help for full image backup/recovery. I may include it in future custom firmwares updates as well. You can also use backup applications from Google Play Store such as Titanium backup.
SuperSU shouldn't display an installation failed message, something may have gone wrong during the installation, please have a look at PhoenixSuit flashing tutorial and make sure you selected Yes to the mandatory format dialog on the Windows machine.
Cheers.

From the reports I've seen, firmware 1.32 seems more stable than previous versions.Flashing a firmware (such our custom one) using PhoenixSuit is like fully resetting everything, it's a low level tool that works only with complete firmware images. On the other hand, OTA updates (small zip packages) aren't compatible with complete images so you can't fully flash a device this way.
As far as I know, PhoenixSuit is only available for Windows, I don't think there are similar tools for Linux yet.
I don't recommend using a virtual machine for these kind of things, as flashing programs are quite low level tools that require perfect USB ports handling. Best you can do is probably find someone with a Windows PC.
Here is our flashing guide if needed.
Cheers.
I am using your firmware 1.32. Thank you for the firmware - this is really good.
However, there are two concerns.
1. The firmware does not have Bluetooth support, thus I cannot connect it to a bluetooth keyboard - even if I use an external USB BTooth. Could you please help in adding the BT support.
2. The firmware keeps hanging once every two or three days...it goes in to the boot loop. I have to do a factory reset and it works again - now, this is not ok for a user who wants to use this for day to day use.... any ideas ?

1. The Onda V972 does not have bluetooth hardware. If you use a BT USB dongle you must have the right driver.
2. I don't know.
Onda V972 -> rooted with Onda_Allwinner_A31_root_v1_0.zip -> factory reset -> stock V1.33

About the 12 Gb, I think the android system uses some space that's why you don't have 16Gb available.
What do you mean by full r/w access ? Can you write anywhere ?

Hello Alok,
My firmware contains minimal changes apart from root and some Google Play Store customization so more apps are available. I don't see any modifications that would create bootloops and haven't experienced any on my device, after a few dozens of hours running this firmware. I am not sure if doing a mandatory format (Yes option) while flashing help, but that maybe worth a try.
Regarding bluetooth support, I'll soon look to add it, at least for some devices such as the BT dongles based on the CSR chipset like it was done on older Arnova G2 tablets (RK2918 based). Still, I already tried a while ago on other Rockchip tablets running Linux 3.x kernel and Android ICS (or later) and did not get much success yet.Â
Cheers.

Robinandroid,
Adding a driver for the USB BT will not help, unless the Kernel has support for it - the driver is only to select specific bt usb - but to get the basics working, u need the kernel support.
@Admin: Thank you for looking to BT - it would be a great addition, to making this is useful.
For the stock ROM not sure, if you can do much about it... but just wanted to see if you can help.

I tried this... Still can't delete the stock launcher permissions not granted.
Really hope we can get a fix for this soon!
