Here is one of the first rooted custom firmwares for the Onda V972 tablet, it is based on latest official V1.32 release from Onda.

 

Build information: 

Linux Kernel: Linux version 3.3.0 (lgm@SzExdroid5) (gcc version 4.6.3 20120201 (prerelease) (crosstool-NG linaro-1.13.1-2012.02-20120222 – Linaro GCC 2012.02) ) #3 SMP PREEMPT Mon Feb 4 11:38:13 CST 2013

Android build: onda/fiber_onda978q9/fiber-onda978q9:4.1.1/MASTER/20130204:user/test-keys

Custom firmware features:

- root with latest SuperSU 1.04 (free version)

- system default setup English

- removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications

- Google Play Store fixes so more application are visible/compatible

Can you tell a little about how you made this ROM? What utilities did you use? I understud that RedScorpio`s imgRePacker and others.

Can you make a manual how to make a custom ROM for Onda V972? That would be very good!

So what plans do you see for this custom rom?

i.e., trying to get the power management chip enabled, or throttling back the GHZ of the cpu while in sleep?

Sorry, super excited and happy to see it.  Soon there will be many and i can't wait, this just the start of something AWESOME!

The Android system supports many languages including French.

Just go to Settings / Language & input / Language and select Français.

i have try with 3 different mirror when i unzipp files corompue with winrar  and bitdefender total  ?  quand you see the file  thanks a lot

In the manual the suggest to remove the devicedriver from the computer and hold the power button from the tabelt for 20-30 secs. Then restart it.
