Hello,
I've got Plug Force tablet, which specs are exactly the same as Onda V972. Even when I check software version in Phoenix, it's the same (beside name onda/plug, which is obvius; they even has the same "test-keys" addition). For the Plug latest rom is 4.2.2, so I thought maybe to try flash one of new roms for Onda? What to you think, is there any chance to work, or there is a great chance to brick it? As I said, I think that Plug is just other brand for Onda, and only they add their logo on the device and boot animation.
Cheers,
Mark
ps. here is SS from phoenix
Hello Mark,
Your tablet look similar but there is guarantee that a firmware from a Onda model will work. In any case, you first need to make sure you have the default firmware for your Plug Force tablet just in case Onda ones don't work. Normally, it's quite hard to brick these devices but I can't say it's 100% safe to flash another firmware.
Last thing, based on Onda users feedback and my experience it doesn't seem the Android 4.4 KitKat firmware are the greatest at the moment and some users have actually flashed back to a 4.2 firmware (usually Onda 3.3.1)
Cheers.

Thanks for extra fast reply! I have original FV (4.1 and 4.2.2) so it should be possibly to back to original FV.
KitKat isn't my dream, but some improved version of JB will be nice. Plug has some speed issues, even when expanding notification drawer it can be little bit laggy... I know that this device isn't a top notch speed devil, but some things are obious firmvare bugs.
I also found out that in Germany are some clones of Onda, and people are using Onda roms without any problems. So I think I will try it on sunday, I don't wanna hard brick it before the weekend
EDIT: Ok, so I tried with this rom
Flashes nicely, booted and... Screen orientation is messed up, lol. When I touch on left side, it reacts on right side, down is up etc. So unfortunatly, Onda roms aren't for me
