as of Tuesday, August 16, 2016 there is to be a new Onda V972 and V812 Allwinner A31 tablets get major Firmware update 2.0 (also for ARCHOS Platinum) but the link on main page doesnt work.

Hello,

That would be surprising to see a new firmware for old devices such as the Onda V972/V812 after 2 or 3 years.

Regarding the custom firmwares linked on our forum, you may get errors if you try to download the older versions as we are keeping only the last 2 or 3 revisions of the firmwares to save disk space on our servers. I suggest that you look for such updates on our forum.
