Hello,
I think, if the final JB-ROM is as might be expected from the beta versions, the v972 can be used as each of us wants.
In the Beta's I've tested I can determine, for example, a substantially improved wifi connection and battery life.
Something bothers me:
JB 4.2.2 has two pulldown menus. On my Nexus 7 - top status bar - one on the left side for notifications and one on the right Side for quick access to the system settings. The left menu works in the Beta-Versions for the V972 by tapping left on the status bar, the right doesn't work by taping on time. If this feature is not supported in the JB-Version for the V972?

I noticed the same, comparing Android 4.2 JellyBean with my Google Nexus 10.
Not much we can do for now, I think Onda Android 4.2.2 implementation is just missing that right side status bar handling, they'll hopefully correct it in a future firmware.
Cheers.

Hello, and thanks for reply!
I've found an app "AntTek Quick Settings" that at least partly supplies the missing JB-menu.
Regards.

I've done quite a bit of poking and prodding of this new FW and am compiling this list -- I tried to submit to Onda for checking into for their official version (as it says to email them problems) don't know if anyone else can do the same. I'm definitely not complaining and am very thankful for admin's hard work on this -- I think these may rather be Onda problems to resolve. Some are items others reported, plus some of my own:
1) Top status bar is not giving expected behavior -- no response from clicking clock etc. Apps side has a menu of sorts but it is rather clunky. I also think the status bar is very small and worked better along with the bottom buttons.
2) All capability to move apps to the SD card is missing. No 'move to SD card' option exists in running apps or or on individual app pages. This may relate to the problem with being able to run CWM etc. The storage settings show grey outed for 'USB storage' which is the internal SD card.
3) 2D apps / games run poorly, at roughly 1/2 to 1/3 of expected speed -- see Diamond Wonderland, Star Traders Elite as examples.
4) Movie playing is not worked as expected in some common apps although alternate players do seem to work ok. I can watch movies over WIFI with Emit, it works fine for example.
5) Cellular network indicator is back, which was removed in other builds.
6)Â Camera functionality issue may be resolved per previous post, not sure if it is for all units.
Thanks!
From what I understand, current CWM versions do not work with firmware 2.3.
Kasty firmwares are intended to be installed only with PhoenixSuit.
Cheers.

hi threr...
when I use the speedtest.net by WIFI, the results of my cellphone is 2461 KBs/2018 KBs (DL/UL), but the results of my V972 is 185 KBs/1128 KBs (DL/UL).
I'm watch movies over WIFI with mxplayer, it works not very well.
I had try some wifi booster, sometime it works fine, sometime it works NOT.
All of you how to improve the wifi speed of download ?
I like this FW, any ideas, thanks.

I'm getting 21.149/1.128Kbps from Ookla app "speedtest.net". This is (more or less) what I get from my laptop. Home wifi is Huawei's.
I would recommend SuperNova ROM. It's uses different WiFi code and I heard about many issues solved. it's not available 4.2.2 but probably working on it.

md990From what I understand, but I haven't yet tested a lot, the WiFI works better on firmwares anterior to version 2.3, that is version 2.0 or 1.35
Onda should be able to improve the situation in future updates.

Do you have it overclocked?
