Yes but that is the stock beta. I want the one with the Chinese apps stripped out, rooted, and google play store fixed.

Running an Onda v972 V2 that is actually a V1 (even stock V2 FW doesn't work) Updated to a Samsung Galaxy Note 2014 now. Working as a data recovery engineer at Data Medics data recovery company. On the existing beta firmware, after doing some quick tests, it looks like msav fix works fine with the FC issue.

I've rebuilt the custom firmware including that fix, for those who haven't flashed yet, see post #1

So to update.

I am still getting the unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped but only when I have my dpi set to the stock 320. If i modify the build.prop and change the dpi to 240 it does not have this problem.

If the contact.provider.apk fix was suppose to fix this then it did not work on my tablet.

BTW I just renamed the fixed apk file to contact.provider.apk and renames the old one and set the permissions to match the old one. I hope that is what i was suppose to do.

I can try to flash the latest version if you think that will work. But without working recovery I am hesitant to do this as I don't want to go over the configuration all over again.

BTW to confirm Freezing contacts storage via titanium backup when in 320dpi mode keeps the acore error from happening on my tablet.

With this latest custom firmware update (DPI settings unchanged), I haven't spent enough time or used the tablet enough to confirm it's 100% fixed, but it looks good so far, based on a few minutes tests, I haven't had a single FC.

msav, I'm sure other users will want to flash this new update and will report how it goes for them, so you should know in a few...

Actually, looking at the file dates, I believe it's the same (beta) firmware I used for the custom firmware.

I don't want to spend time again downloading it again unless someone mirrors it to dropbox.

Hi folks just an update updated the contact.provider apk and now not had any freezes and have got facebook and Skype working running quite smooth thanks again for the firmware awaiting the final version, but well pleased at the moment.

I will wait to see the other user response. I really like this firmware. I don't want to go back to 2.0.

Hopefully someone will adjust the partition table settings in CWM and TWRP for 4.2.2 so we can have working recovery. That is the final and last wish

Having a working recovery for me is huge as it allows me to experiment with other firmwares, and changes without fear of bricking my tablet.

Hi downloaded the firmware for my V2 this morning and flashed it. I was a bit concerned at the V2 firmware still has the word 'test' in it.

Disappointed again. Still has the 'android.process.acore' message and I couldn't even get Facebook to run. Back to V2.0 again then......

Latest update (kasty-onda_v972_V1-422-v23beta-rooted6.zip) works fine for me, no Force Close.

Gah. Here is hoping they can get a new firmware out for the infinite variations of their A31 tablets. What are they up to now? v811 (v1 and 2), v812 (v1,2,3,4, and 5), v813 (v1), v972 (v1 and 2) ...
