Hi Everybody,
my Onda V972 is a bit screwed up and my problem is that I can not install new Firmware with PhoenixSuit. I read in many forums that a few people have that problem. So my only way to update the Onda V972 is via CWM Recovery.
So it would be great if somebody could post a CWM Recovery backup so that people who have the same problem as I am could get ther Onda up and running again
I'm running right now:
Steve Mars SuperNova 1.0
with the following problems that I just can't fix:
- "Internal SD-Card" is not mounting ... so I can't use any Software that needs the internal memory ... like camera and many apps
- Home button ... Soft- and Hardwarebutton are not working
if I install SuperNova 2.0 I also get the following problem
- the Onda needs to reboot every time it goes to sleep/standby
- and none of the problems are solvedÂ
I have a few CWM Backups but I have similar problems in every version
It would be great if somebody could upload a CWM Backup to start over again.
THANX
Chris

Hi Everybody,
as far as I know now the solution to my problem should be to install a original "*.img" Firmware file. My problem is now that I can't use PhoenixSuit ... this is just not working with my Onda V972 ... it's a problem that a few people have.
I'm now running SuperNove 3.0 with the following problems left:
– the Onda needs to reboot every time it goes to sleep/standby
– "Internal SD-Card" is not mounting … so I can't use any Software that needs the internal memory … like camera and many apps
So I could use Arctools 0.78 to install the "Stock recovery v. 1.33 for Onda Allwinner A31 based tablets" and then install a *.img file with the Stock revovery but because the "Internal SD-Card" is not mouting Arctools can't download it. Is there a place where I can download it and just run from my external SD-Card?
Also over the Terminal I can mount the "Internal SD-Card" with the following command:
"busyboy mount -o rw -t vfat /dev/block/vold/93:72 /mnt/sdcard"
Then I can see in Total Commander my "Internal SD-Card" showing the right amount of avalible space but it got UID="root" and GID="root" and I can't change it. So no programm can really access it.
Maybe somebody can help?
So I would need the "Stock recovery v. 1.33 for Onda Allwinner A31 based tablets" as a download file.
Thanx
Chris
I am wondering which img file do you want to install from the stock recovery ? and why don't you flash it with PhoenixSuit ?

I would like to install the latest firmware so "V972Core4_v1.35.img" and I would love to use PhoenixSuit to do this but there are a few Onda V972 that give out the following error message in PhoenixSuit "Fel2Fes Error". I really love the Instructions on this website how to install a new firmware with PhoenixSuit but I just get an error message or it showing "Begin to Upgrade Firmware to Device" but nothing happens and so I can't install with PhoenixSuit.
Tried already reinstalling PhoenixSuit (have latest version 1.0.6). Reinstalling drivers. Installing on other computers. Always getting the same Error.
http://samsonspace-us.blogspot.com.es/2013/02/onda-v812-get-fel2fes-error-on-update.html
is showing the error but the solution doesn't work for me ... tried to update 1.02, 1.21, 1.33 and 1.35 ... always the same problem.
Maybe any other idea?
Thanx

The problem occurs in V972 32GB. and only with the v. 1.35.
When you enter an error recovery gives sdinterna assembly and produces an endless loop.
Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
Can't open /cache/recovery/log
Cant't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
Cant'T open /cache/recovery/last_log
The solution with Phoenix reinstall the 1.35 but can not install the CWM
thanks

Does anybody got the "Stock recovery v. 1.33 for Onda Allwinner A31 based tablets" as a download file?
Running right now SuperNova 3.1 and still have the same problems and I can't install any Firmware with the PhoenixSuit. Or is there anyother way to install a Firmware without using PhoenixSuit`?
Thanx
Chris

From CWM Hold the button until it shuts off.
Then you can proceed normally with Phoenix.
