Does anyone know if it is possible to get bluetooth working through USB (OTG & bluetooth dongle) on the Onda V972? If it is possible can someone please explain the process to get it working.

Onda firmware doesn't support this. You might want to look into CM10 or AOKP for Allwinner A31

I am just putting CM10 firmware on my v972 and will update on how well the Bluetooth works, however need to wait until I get micro USB connector . shipped without one.

I use BT just now for keyboard and syncing with mobile so that's really all I will test.

Hi, I'm a newbie and I hope it's OK to ask this, but can I change from kasty mod to CM 10.2 ROMs without uninstalling anything prior to it? I'd like to get the bluetooth support that CM 10.2 has. Thanks for your answers!

EDIT: sorry! I just realized that in order to install CM one needs to do a clean install, so there should be no problem

It may be OK for you but I did find some problems going from the latest kasty rom to CM 10.2 and had to first go back and reload the stock Onda firmware, then TWRP, then CM 10.2

Thank you for your reply Pingu! One other thing I was wondering, I benchmarked my V972 with Antutu yesterday out of curiosity, there it showed me in "device info", after I ran the full custom test, that the resolution is 1952 x 1536 (instead of 2048 x 1536). I just ran the test again and now it shows 2048 x 1440 in "display" => "resolution" (instead of 2048 x 1536). Does anyone know whether I've been cheated or is this correct? Could this have anything related with the ROM? (I'm on kasty latest ROM, no other mods done) Thanks again!

As promised using cm 10.2 BT works with phone to transfer photos etc. connects to BT keyboard Perrixx brand also works with BT receiver for playing music remotely. Whether it works with anything else I don't know that's all I need BT for,hope this helps
