This is a re-post of my first hand experience with this new rom which I posted in the "V3.2 final (2013-07-04)" thread:
Well, I downloaded and installed the new "V972Core4_v3.2.1_v1" rom. It behaves pretty much the same in performance compared to the previous rom. One of the new things I noticed is that there are some new options in the settings that I did not see in the previous version. Also, there's this photo of a cute Chinese woman in a white dress that's part of the boot up screen. But the one major thing I can attest to, is that this time around the battery holds it's charge a lot longer! that's right, the battery last longer! None of that rapid countdown drop on battery juice, now it lasts as long as it used to when the Onda 972 tablet first came out on the market.  With that said, I am still having some WiFi dropout issues, but I can still get around that by using the "Best WiFi Keeper PRO" app to help me alleviate that problem.

Last update all my apps were kept. This time I lost everything, even though I didn't format the drive. Did I do something wrong?
Still not getting HDMI working. I hacked my connector further but still no joy. Has anybody got this going?
Tried Miracast to my Samsung TV but no joy. Probably need to read up more about this one.Â

It was the same for me - everything was reset to factory defaults. I was pretty pissed last evening. Next time I'll definitely do a backup of all my apps+data before an update.
But despite all the trouble the tablet got quicker once more and the battery life seems to be better as well.

Hi, i have this Onda V972 v1 (16GB) since february and am actually quite pleased with this tablet.
Firmware updates normally went fine, but not this time.
Upgraded on aug 1. to 3.2.1 v1 (previous firmware 3.2 v1, 26 jun version)
After reboot i noticed the internal storage was set to 0 kb.
No 2 GB space and no sdcard content. Tablet does not remember settings after reboot nor is it possible to install apps.
Installed fw 3.0 with format and the internal storage was restored again, upgraded to 3.2 v1 (no format) , internal storage still ok.
installed fw 3.2.1 -> system was reset to factory and internal storage 0 kb again.
I searched for a couple of days, but could not find anything.
Any idea why the internal storage is gone after upgrade ?
Regards.
