I broke the glass of my Onda V972 and in a consequence the half of the touch screen doesn't respond.
I have ordered the same P/N of digitizer for replacement.
Does someone know how to replace the touch screen in the possible less risky and easy way?
I saw the illustrated topic here but there is no info if LCD display is only screwed to plastic frame or is glued.
Is it possible to detach simply Retina LCD from plastic frame in order to avoid a risk of mechanical damage while cutting the broken digitizer glass?

Thanks a lot for any tips.
My advice is NOT to use physical means to remove the touch screen layer but to use CHEMICAL way to remove it.
Use alcohol type to BUT first you must test it on a small place somewhere inside the front cover that it doesnt "eat" the plastics (thats what I call it in this part of the world). But I wish you all the best of luck once you have opened up the front cover, I had 2 pitiful experience and another one waiting for 3 month "somewhere" under my desk waiting for resurrection since once you opened the lcd, touch screen with the baclkight and a battery attached to to it it is not only those that you have to worry about the PCB ribbon cable that attach to the volume/power have to temporary detached and the ALL important from PCB (engine) to the touch screen panel has to be inserted back IF you dont handle this with care the PCB side connectors might come loose or worse since it is bent like and envelope cover (no arch bending) you might just have a circuit trace broken without you even knowing it.
I know this sounds unhelpful BUT get a professional shop to do it they might have the ribbon cable if anything goes wrong. Good luck. (END of HORROR stories part 1)

Easily removed with hair dryer and then the glue residues with alcohol. Everything works and now I'm waiting for new digitizer from China. Hope there will not be a troubles to attach this with double side adhesive tape to plastic frame of the screen. Everything seems to be on a good way to repair my Onda.

Mission successfully done!
Not so hard to replace. To avoid the risk the best is to disassembly everything just to have only the plastic frame with the glass in hands. Then with hairdryer and some knife it we can easily remove the touch screen. The glue residues can be cleaned up with an alcohol.
