Flash with PhoenixSuite (tutorial)
After flashing the tablet, a Setup Wizard should display on first boot to configure your network, regional settings… If the wizard does not appear, just disconnect your USB cable from the tablet, make a short press on the power button to turn off the screen. After the screen is turned of, press the power button for a short time again to power the tablet, the Setup wizard should appear.
Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have a Onda V818 mini to test it.

Good morning guys.
I have the doubt if you could update the file ROM V818mini_v3.0_v1.img putting the SD and flash it from recovery, no need to connect to PC and use the program PhoenixSuite.
I ask this because on a mobile Huawei G300've done well, also using a file with a. Img to update.
    A greeting
Updates in "update.zip" format could be updated this way, but for .img files such as we have here, you need to use PhoenixSuit as for other Allwinner A31 based devices.

Thanks for this. Just a further question about .IMG updates could we use Odin?
If I understand right, Odin is made for Samsung devices, which is a different platform then Onda tablets, so it's pretty sure it won't work here.

Thanks admin. Well I flashed it using Phoenixsuit and all went well. The machine definitely feels smoother than before. There is certainly no lag, internet browsers open up very quickly, wifi is stable.
It truely is a great little device now (without all the Chinese cutesey vapourware). Antutu gave 12116.
Very happy.
I had a first look without much success so far, I'll give it another shot soon.

If you are reffering to my request for bluetooth...Maybe you could take a look into Christian Troy's rom's, look here: http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/65290-rom-cyanogenmod-10-for-allwinner-a31-devices-now-with-hdmi-and-usb-bluetooth-support/
He implemented support for external bluetooths and cp210x among other stuff..
When I recently asked him about how he did it he answered "must be built with a boardconfig.mk parameter to enable bluetooth".. Something like that, if that means anything to you.
Again thank you for investing your time and skills into developing awesome stuff for us, making our devices better!
Thanks!

have you try reflashing the tablet ?
and make sure choose the format mode everytime flashing the tablet.

i found this latest firmware indeed faster than before, aside from only 1gb ram, now the performance is acceptable, and usable for daily...

Hi guys! first of all thank you for the work you do!
i have an Onda v818 mini (A31S quad core), i’ve tried to flash it and the format dialogue box appeared, i started the format, it was all fine before the usb cable fell out of the port on the tablet and everything shut down. after this i failed to initiate the flsh mode back again, gave it a few attempts but the tablet just stays power off and doesn’t react at all. What can i possibly try to do?
thanks in advance!
