Yo dude.. this is pretty good.. thanks for this.. as one of the other guys stated that it is a little laggy.. but I installed Apex launcher.. and removed default launcher via titanium backup. I also installed SuperCharger found over at XDA Developers and now this thing flies!!!!
Hi, did you remove only the default launcher with titanium or everything starting with 4.1.1?

2013/05/10

Nope just the launcher.. and i think there was still something called Dragon Phone.. so i removed that too.
I also sideloaded Google+, Talk and some other apps..Â
I think the downfall of this little tablet is its memory.. I bought my wife the V811 and it has 2gb of Ram.. it is much faster at everything than ours.. and i didnt have to do much to her's either..Â
but now i did the tweaks .. Im happy with it..
folks over at Onda-Tablet said that they are coming out with 4.2.2 soon.. so im hoping other issues will be fixed too.

2013/04/25

yes, seems that the memory usage is about 75% even with minimal things going on.
Didn´t get supercharger to work, got error messages in terminal. also tried the starter kit but got errors also there not being able to find some files.
Did you use terminal and busybox to install supercharger?
I tried to download script manager which should make things easier but it said it is not compatible with device.

2013/05/10

yeah i got some error messages too.. if they are the same it only means that the files it tried copying didnt work.. those are for applying the values upon a reboot.
but if you run the starter kit again.. everything should be installed even busybox.
which version did you try? V6 or V8?
V8 didnt work for me.. so i did V6

ya i hope too.. mine is still a little laggy cause Supercharger for some reason on this tablet doesnt get reapplied on reboot.. gotta figure that one out.... but i really think thats due to 4.1.1 especially the launcher..lets see what happens.. im not sure i regret it.. i really like it and for the price.. you cant beat it.. its really a throw away device.. keep it for a year and then buy another.. i dont think i could justify doing that if i paid more on any other device.. including google's.

You're right and I'm quite agree with the concept of disposable.
But, opening a browser (chorme, opera, firefox or native) without it crashes is difficult. When done, loading a web page with a few pictures is an nightmare.Â
Waking up the tablet takes 4 or 5 seconds, and the effective use takes 7-8 seconds more (with apex). It doesn't seem, but it's long.
Otherwise, it is true that it is pretty and smooth or everything. But if it's just to have it on display and tell myself that I spent almost € 160 for that thing which is slower than my old singlecore tablet !
The V812 is the same price, and seems to be better.
This is why I put a lot of hope in this new firmware.
