Our rooted custom firmware features:
- root with latest SuperSU 1.25 (free version)
- system default setup English
- removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications
- Google Play Store fixes so more application are visible/compatible
- added ArcTools for easy ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) installation, see details here

Flash with PhoenixSuite (tutorial)
This firmware is intended only for the V812 tablet hardware V5, it will probably not work on other hardware revisions, don't flash it if you are not sure which hardware revision your V812 is.
Please report any problem with this firmware, as I don't have a Onda V812 (HW v5) to test it.

Much better than the stock rom- cleaner and quicker. Thanks once again. Disappointingly though, YouTube and related apps are audio only, as on the stock rom.

Yea, it probably has the same issues as other Onda v2.0 firmwares, this should be corrected soon by Onda.
As a fix, the default Youtube included in our custom firmware should show video, maybe you have updated the app from Google Play Store and got a more recent version that doesn't work with Video ?
Edit: I just wanted to add I'll be following future Onda updates and I'll rebuild the custom firmware once these videos issues are fixed.

Thanks to Admin once again. His tip concerning a YouTube quick fix did the trick. I had updated the app: removing the update restored a working copy of the app.

I just installed this version on a hardware version V1 and it works fine, except youtube no video

Hello, this is a known problem, as admin says above.
You can either remove youtube app and then install a previous version
from here for example which should work fine.

OR reflash the ROM again.
In either case, go to Google play store afterwards, open My apps, click on YouTube and then untick the 'allow automatic updates' box.

hello,
i have problem
that when i swirch to video the garelly crash , this happend after a while when i rooted it with the custome rom
it just crash when switch to video mode

I have 2 tablets one V1 and everything works perfect and one V5

The official stock firmware for V5 devices is available from Onda.Â
For the past hours, I've spent quite some time building custom firmware for Onda devices, new firmwares are done in priority for devices where we have supporting users or high demand from the public.Â
