Some new firmwares now available today
for V701s, V813s, V975s, V975 and V819 mini - labeled 3.3.1
I presume they are JB 4.3 - maybe someone can load them to try.
Thanks for the good tip, as usual
Looking at the build.prop on some of these 3.3.1 firmwares, unfortunately it's still Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Here is build.prop fingerprint from the Onda V975: fiber_ondama975q9-eng 4.2.2 JDQ39 20131116 test-keys
well, it may not be JB 4.3 but most of the other tablet's firmwares have now been released today
Yea, I noticed these in the morning as well.
We'll hopefully get feedback soon for the first 3.3.1 custom firmwares I have done, as I want to make sure they are working properly before proceeding with making more for the other Onda models.
I have just tested the new stock 3.3.1 for my V813 and frankly I don't think it is worth the bother of making a custom ROM from it. It is very slow and laggy going between different items and the first desktop layout is shocking with its different folders on the home page. I know all the items can be moved etc but it really seems a backward step to me.
Plus point - they have changed the boot animations to simple logos.
It is definitely still JB 4.2.2
The previous 3.2.1 was much smoother and simpler. I thought you may want to know....
PS I have reflashed my backup CM 10.2 by Christain Troy which is really excellent.
