Use Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.7 to flash the firmware, don't flash using the "sdcard" method.
Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have an iFive X3 to test it.

Hello,
Thanks for your feedback.
Unfortunately I don't have an iFive X3 so I couldn't test this custom firmware. I remember about similar issues on another iFive model, I should be able to fix the problem and post a firmware shortly.
Cheers.

I've just published a fixed version, see post #1, please let us know how it works for you:

Arbalath,
That's strange, our custom firmware was reported to work by --webjo-- in post #7.
Have you flashed the new file (kasty-fnf_ifive_x3-422-115_20131211-rooted4b.zip) and not the original file (kasty-fnf_ifive_x3-422-115_20131211-rooted4.zip) that had a problem ?
Are you flashing an iFive X3 ? Did you use Restore button in Rockchip Batch Tool ?
Cheers.

Well, yes to all, but due to yesterdays flu, my multitasking skills, and given that MTK entered Rockchip sign in alignment to the sun I managed to flash my mini x3 with this firmware. I always wanted to know how these things happen and how can people be so stupid to flash wrong FW. I guess now I know.
On the other hand, correct mini X3 FW from you works best so far of all I tested.
im happy i found you guys as i was a big fan using ifive s, ifive x and now ifive x3 thinking im alone and i struggled with rooting as well tweaking, somehow today i found this site hurre!!!!
I downloaded and flashed, i can only say is a great piece of work thanks.
Im sure i will follow with great pleasure the work you guys have here.

Based on the nearly identical hardware footprints of the iFive X2 and X3, I have created a wiki for the X3 with procedures on flashing firmware images and several other mods as well.
iFive X3 wiki is here:
https://www.miniand.com/wiki/iFive+X3
Firmware flashing instructions are here:
https://www.miniand.com/wiki/Flashing+a+new+firmware+image+to+the+iFive+X3+Step+by+Step
The flashing instructions recommend flashing kasty's ROM of course !
