Another question: I notice there's an item called Cell Standby under the Settings>Battery consumption, which is "Battery used by cell radio".  What cell radio?  X2 doesn't have cellular radio.  Why is it there using up battery?  I even switched on Airplane mode

Hi

Thanks Katsy

I just installed the new rom on my newly arrived ifive x2 and everything is smooth.

The only thing I am missing is the Hebrew language layout for the USB keyboard.

Did you erase not latin languages from the layout file?

Hi and thanks for all your work.

This works well  - wifi is excellent and it's very fast and responsive

One Q though, I have no root access, and am a bit mystified as to why?

RootcheckerPro returns this "Root access is not properly configured or was not granted"

Root Checker Adv returns this msg "You have root access, but you need to install superuser app"

SuperSU tells me "The SU binary needs to be updated. Continue ?

I tap 'continue' .. and a few seconds later 'Installation failed'

Any help will be appreciated - tnx

Solved it with any soft keyboard app.

Everything works very good.

There is no ghosting on the screen. WIFI is still only average but this is due to the hardware.

The only thing that crashed my system was tried to boost the sound with "viper4android4x" but it seems like a problem with the specific app. Anyone know of another way to boost the volume.

I finally flashed the ROM because I was stil v2.0.1 AOSP ROM and now I remember why. The stupid lockscreen with the rotating wallpapers. How to fix that? Some of these wallpapers really suck, and I can't get rid of the Shenzhen weather widget.

But that removes the lockscreen altogether, agreed it works but it wasn't what I had in mind :)

You need to Enable the widgets in Kitkat (under security) only  then you can add widgets on the lock screen and remove the chinese one !

for the background images use Xposed !

I found the problem but not the solution.

The error is caused when changing the language to Hebrew. After I change the the language everything is ok but if I reboot I get the error above.

I found the exact same problem for nexus but didn't understand the solution:

Can someone help me out?

Hello guys.

I have a question for you.

In your opinion will this ROM/image work with my CUBE U39GT.

Same CPU, RAM, 16G, Bluetooth, Full HD 9"panel.

I am considering flashing this ROM, but I am afraid that I will brick my device

Maybe it will work maybe not. The CWM recovery is compatible for this and my device.

I will be more that gratefuller if someone make CWM backup of the this rom and upload it somewhere for me to download and test it.

Thank you.

Hello,

First sorry for my English.

For me, this rom works very well. Thanks you.

But I have one problem :

- Settings => Users => I click under my only profile (You(Owner)) and Settings Crash.

I have test with a new profile, and it's the same bug. I can click next to my profile for change the profile's name but if i click on my profile, "Settings" crash.

I finally got a nice WiFi antenna working in the X2 with better reception than the original antenna.
What I did was order a $3 replacement antenna for a Samsung Galaxy S3 on aliexpress. This has exactly the same little connector so you can directly plug it on the board.
The modification I made to this antenna was as follows. There's a little golden connector on the Samsung antenna which normally connects to something metal of the S3 body. What I did was solder a little piece of 1 mm thick sheet-copper to this connector, but made sure it would still fit where the original antenna is placed.
The reception still isn't as good as with most smartphones and somehow the upload speed is higher than the download speed, but that might be a ROM issue as well, I'm not sure.
