I know, but I was referring to the background (wallpaper). By default this is a slideshow of some preset pictures. I was wondering if you could change that.

Hi admin,

thank you for your engagement. I would prefer stock loader. And the ifive Video player.

I can test it this weekend - flashing is no problem. Flashing and restore backuped Apps was made in less than one hour yesterday and i did it twice ;-)

I flashed my X2 after I bought it with kasty rom 1.1.8. But now I want to flash to the new kitkat rom without losing my apps and data of these apps. How did you do this? Using Titanium backup? I never done this, that's why I ask.

Hello hars73,

yes, i made a backup with Titanium Backup. You have to backup the data to your EXTERNAL SD, because the internal SD (Default) will be erased when flashing the new rom. So pay a little attention about the backup space.

I would like to know this to.

With ROMs for most phones (I have experience with some HTC phones) you can just flash the ROM in Clockworkmod without wiping /data and you keep your apps and settings. So that would be called a update, and of course that doesn't work when switching to another ROM.

How do you do that with Kasty ROM? I noticed that there is an "update" button in Rockchip Batch Tool. Can I just hit that instead of the "restore" button, or won't that work?

Or could you just supply a CWM .zip file?

Hi. Thanks for your custom rom.

I have made a working CWM recovery and overclocked kernel for ifive x2 4.4.2. Flash the new files together with the parameter file from your rom.

Download CWMrecovery:

Download OCkernel (cpu1800mhz  gpu798mhz):

Hi manupc,

is it possible to overclock the x2 without cwm?

I prefer flashing with the ifive/rockchip tool. Its simple. cwm seems to be much more difficult and my english isn´t good enough for using it.

Thanks for that manupc.

If anyone is interested and manupc is OK with that, I can make the CWM and overclocked kernel available as ArcTools packages that would be a little easier to install (directly from the tablet) than using a Windows Flash tool. Let me know...

Cheers.

You dont need cwm. You can use RK3xxx_firmware_tools to extract the parameter file from the rom and to flash it with the kernel.

I m sure somebody can do this. But without knowledge of Android/Linux i think it is no good idea. Thought it is only a file to copy with a explorer and a restart.

Holger, You could wait for admin to implement it as ArcTools packages as installation is then easier.

How the h3ll do I extract that parameter file from the ROM?
CWM zip file or via ArcTools is much simpler than this...

Hi!

Does  anybody experience graphicproblems with this new rom?

After flash everything seems good but when doing something like open a browser or Play store the glitches begin and after a couple of glithes the whole screen seems offset, ive attached a photo of it. See below link.

 https://www.dropbox.com/s/5jyysss2jwbntpj/ifivex2_glitch.jpg

One way to redeem the problem is to lock the tablett (using power button) and unlock it. Then everything is back to normal for a few minutes. Then the graphicglitches starts again.

I have tried to reflash but with the same issues.

Any ideas?

Hi friends I made Root
I want to install a ROM on the device but do not understand the order of things

1 Use Rockchip Batch Tool

2 kasty-fnf_ifive_x2-442-200_20140108-rooted4b.zip

Do I need to install drivers before on Rockchip Batch Tool ?

When I try to open the file kasty-fnf_ifive_x2-442-200_20140108-rooted4b.zip

Weinzip refuses iso format Something?
