Use Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.7 to flash the firmware, use Restore button.
Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have an iFive 3 to test it.

Hi all. I'm totally newbie with the Android stuff. Could someone give me detailed Information how to Install the new firmware into iFive 3 tablet. I can not get the tablet into mode to accept firmware updates. What is the correct procedure and correct button sequence ?Â
Matti
Hey, download the firmware from the link above. Then follow this how to guide:
https://www.miniand.com/wiki/Flashing+a+new+firmware+image+to+the+iFive+X2+Step+by+Step
Its for the X2 however the procedure is the same.

Thank you all. The instructions worked nicely after changing driver installation related security settings in win8 and twiddling the usb setting in Rockchip tool. 64bit Win8 is not the perfect os for Android tweeking.
HDMI does not seem to work.
Video rendering performance especially for Finnish tv (Yle areena) is ruined.

Dont know about the video rendering, however the HDMI out is definitely working. I'd double check that HDMI is turned on in the settings as ive had no problem. Scrolling in websites does seem a little jerky though.Â

When I use this firmware it runs only once after the install reboot. When I reboot or shutdown the tablet it won't start, it gets stuck on the loading screen. If I go back to the 4.2.2 custom firmware everything is fine again. The same happens with the stock 4.4.2 firmware, it also only runs once after install. What could cause this? (Yes I did use the Restore option)
Hi everyone,
The https://www.MiniAnd.com/wiki/Flashing+a+new+firmware+image+to+the+iFive+X2+Step+by+Step page seems to be on vacation, so the very helpful guide for the Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.7 Ginjruk mentions in his earlier post isn't currently available there. Does anyone know whether that particular guide is posted anywhere else? (I found similar but less complete guides elsewhere.)
Thanks, Bruce
