Here is a rooted custom Android 4.2.2 firmware for the FNF iFive 100 tablet based on official version 1.0.1 dated 2014/02/12

(ifive100--1.0.1.rar / ifive100--1.0.1.img)

Build information:

Linux Kernel: Linux version 3.0.36+ (root@ubuntu-0A) (gcc version 4.6.x-google 20120106 (prerelease) (GCC) ) #103 SMP PREEMPT Wed Jan 22 18:16:31 CST 2014

Android build: IFive/rk3026-1/rk3026-1:4.2.2/JDQ39/eng.root.20140115.183042:eng/opinions-on-teclast-p90hdst-keys

ro.rksdk.version=RK30_ANDROID4.2.2-SDK-v1.00.00

Custom firmware features:

  • root with latest SuperSU version 1.93 (free version)
  • removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications
  • Google Play Store fixes so more application are visible/compatible
  • updated busybox¬†v1.21.0.git (2012-11-29)
  • Unix like¬†init.d boot scripts support, more details on init.d scripts¬†here
  • changed permissions on external sdcard to allow write access
  • increased space for applications (/data partition) to 3¬†GB
  • disabled OTA updates (may cause problems, see Notes below)
  • NEW!¬†kernel modules (cifs, tun, lan, serial, xpad) compiled by Oma &¬†Crew RKTablets, thank guys!
  • optional¬†ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install package

Notes:

- any update received thru OTA may interfere with our custom firmware, we recommend to refuse any update pushed OTA.

Download: kasty-fnf_ifive_100-422-101-rooted3.zip

Use Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.7 to flash the firmware, don't flash using the "sdcard" method.

Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have an iFive 100 to test it.

Hello, I try to make my own custom ROM for iFive 100 but it not work and i think is about img_maker_rkxxx. I don't find imgmaker for RK3026. I try with img_maker_rk3066 and rk3188 it seems to work but flash is impossible.

I use the Top Noch Tablet (TNT) Kitchen. Can you give me an idea or img_maker for RK3026 ? :)

Thanks a lot by advance ;)

Hello,

I have been trying to flash this rom to my ifive 100 but I cannot get it in flashing mode.

The maximum i have achieved is obtaining the pink box in the batchtool but if I click on SWITHC the connection is lost.

I have updated before X2 and Mini 3 and i should have the drivers already installed. But there is not way.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

Hi, I've just purchased iFive100 and the custom rom works for me. No problem on flashing and found this so cool!! thank you. :)

Stock rom 1.01 has some lacking in build.prop regarding OpenGLES entry. This causes some 3d benchmarking fail such as Antutu Benchmark. This custom rom has same problem. Try adding following into your /system/build.prop:

ro.opengles.version=131072

After you modified reboot and try benchmark and see. This fix is also useful for stock rom rev1.01 but I've found the problem has been fixed in the latest stock rom rev1.06.

Enjoy.

Wow, great. Revised stock firmware seems to be improved some(performance and compatibilities) and I've waited for your mod though already rooted the stock 1.06 yesterday :D

Okay, I'll check your latest work and report later.

Thanks!

I've faced similar problems before though I don't own other ifive devices. What I did was removing all USB drivers previously installed for android devices and connect iFive100 again. I think this is worth to try.

Good luck.

No. Every tab has it's own kernel (hardware abstraction layer). What is your tab and is the stock firmware available?
