Hi guys,

my ifive mini 3 retina has arrived on the past week, then I flashed the Kasty Rom and overclocked it to 1.8GHz, however the tablet is laggy when browsing on the Internet, are you having the same experience? Is there any way to make it smoother? Besides that, the wifi reception is very unstable too Cry

Hello,

So you flashed our custom firmware using Rockchip Batch Tool ? Did you use Restore button ?

Are you sure your device is an iFive Mini 3 retina model ?

Cheers.

thank you for prompt answer!

yes its retina model RK3188 chipset

and i did as you wrote, just RESTORE button.

now tablet is not booting any more.

it is recognized in device manager, ADB is there but I am not even able to repeat the procedure.

it  says:

no device

ADB driver version is:

27.08.2012

v 7.0.0.1

is that correct driver?

Are you sure you are using the same cable and same USB port on the computer like when you flashed with Rockchip Batch Tool previously ?

Does the square number 1 in the Connected devices panel on Rockchip Batch Tool changes color when you connect the tablet ?

The OTA update you have applied shouldn't really matter as flashing a new firmware with Erase on Rockchip Batch Tool should format the tablet and reinstall a fresh system.

In your case, what needs to be done is to put the tablet in bootloader mode so it's recognized by Rockchip Batch Tool (green square). This can usually be achieved using hardware buttons (power/volume / reset pinhole) on the tablet. I am not sure about which should work on your mini3 retina, others iFive owners may help you on that or you can read about similar procedures in our other iFive forum sections.

Cheers.

try Riley's ROM.  It uses a different mechanism to flash.  Hopefully it works for you. http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?12525-iFive-Mini-3-Retina-RileyROM-1-1-KitKat

You said the adb is working.. I found useful to send the command :

adb reboot-bootloader

to reboot in bootloader mode and managed to reflash.

Hope it help
