Thank you very much for this ROM.
I installed the ROM and the OC kernel : now I have 20988 in antutu !
I change the lcd.density param to 240 to really use this excellent screen.
I also changed the launcher to Nova to increase the number of apps and widgets on screens.
It's a great piece of hardware, and now the software is also very good.
I will have my own tablet soon, i place my order on geekbuying today, only 179.99. Very interest in it and it draws power from a Rockchip RK3188 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz and combined with 2GB of RAM. I will verify this custom firmware works when my tablet delivery and then let you know if there are some problems.
Thanks for the firmware, I have installed both it and the 1.8 OC kernel on my mini3. No lag now, so I'm super happy. 21878 in antutu.
Have one question with the firmware though. When I click a link in chrome, a red border flashes around the edge of the screen, does this happen to anyone else? Its not a big deal, just wondering why it happens.
Thanks for the rom.
I have detected problems with USB OTG, doesn’t work properly for me, doesn’t recognise a XBOX 360 controller, and doesn't recognise any pendrives.
If you want to read a review of this tablet with this rom:
Please Please help,
I want to update to this rom but I cant get the drivers installed on my Laptop to flash this.
Every time i point to the drivers it says "windows could not find driver software for your device"
this is doing my head in, where am I going wrong.
Are you using 8.1? I couldn't get mine to connect properly with any of my computers on 8.1, I used an old XP laptop that I have and it worked fine.
Finally got the custom ROM installed. I had to hold the power button in and keep it held in. This then made windows see it as an unknown device and then the drivers installed.
As for the SD card. I tried again, put in the 8gb card. Rebooted and no WiFi. I'll try another SD card when I find one. I have emailed fnf for support but there support has to be the worst in the world. Still waiting on a reply.
yesterday I received my pad ... and I fell in love with the look & feel of it.
BUT: unfortunately, it does not run really stable and crashes very often.
E.g. when starting Antutu, it brings up the Antutu start screen with the "initializing stuff at the bottom" but after a few seconds, the screen becomes black and I feel vibration and the tablet reboots. This also happens when starting e.g. "Touchdown HD", my favorite Business Email app. This happens BTW with the stock ROM (KittKatt was already on it when I received it) as well as with this custom rom.
Any hints for me?
Do I have a hardware issue or is this a software thing? I am pretty sure, that I did also a factory reset after flashing this ROM ... just to be on the safe side ...
i don't want to sound like an ass, but if it was doing it on the stock rom why didn't you try get the tablet replaced? if it doesn't work as intended out of the box i would return it.
i wouldn't be able to say if it were hardware or software. possibly hardware. have you tried other firmwares?
No, you don´t sound like an ass and I guess you don´t smell like
Yes, I tried other firwares as well (in total 3) - they all pretty much behave the same. The reproducable behavior is: Flash ROM -> Go Play Store -> Install Antutu -> launch Antutu -> CRASH, reboot
Sometimes it crashes already during the installation for the first time, but it crashes 100% after starting Antutu.
And you are right ... I am currently in chats with someone in China to get it replaced ... but its a long way from China to Germany and back again. Thats why I asked the "software thing question".
