And this one is a heavy test with 8 different resources (try each one with the kernel): http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=3120

No i guess, the goal is that you can boot up the LineAgeOS Build 1.2.4.
Nevermind, according to your dmesg, the kernel doestn crash...so it must be a lcd driver issue.
You can do the following, repetitive for every testkernel:
- Flash one of oma's kernel
- Then flash back stock kernel
- Go with ADB on that tablet
- Type: adb shell
- Type: cat /proc/last_kmsg
- Post the output from last_kmsg here.
I will have a look at the output.

Hi there,
I received my ifive mini 4s a couple of days ago. Is a very nice tablet and works as designed and comes with Version 1.0.8B.
Unfortunately I have some major problems. Right out of the box the software on the tablet is pretty old and once Google Play Store updates Services and other Apps. The tablet starts to crash as hell. More often than not I start an app, it runs for a couple of seconds and then it is killed by Android or EVEN BETTER the whole tablet reboots. Now I can't even start the tablet normally, it keeps booting and booting and some time in the future it says "Optimizing Apps ...".
Do you guys have the same problems? Could anybody do something about it? Do you think my tablet is faulty? I already reflashed the firmware, but that does not fix the problems.
Cheers, DFahren
P.S.: Some "nice" errors from the logcat:

Now I can't even start the tablet normally, it keeps booting and booting and some time in the future it says "Optimizing Apps ...".
Do you guys have the same problems? Could anybody do something about it? Do you think my tablet is faulty? I already reflashed the firmware, but that does not fix the problems.Cheers, DFahren
I think your mini 4s is a different hardware version. http://en.5-fnf.com/rom/index?id=25 has that firmware listed and it says ifive_mini_4S_US_1.0.8B_20170519Firmware(SN begins with letter"B") I'm thinking they have changed something on the tablet and it was significant enough to get its own firmware version.

Yep, definitely it is! But rest assured my serial number definitely begins with a "B", otherwise the tablet would not start at all I presume. Furthermore I don't believe this hard error that the tablet reboots while working with it doesn't have something to do with a revised hardware. In my opinion it looks like some misconfiguration or not fitting library components .... I'm going to write in FNF's forum, maybe they issue a new revision in a couple of days time. If so, I would be very pleased because like so the tablet is unusable.
