Any chance that OMA' s cm13 or aosp 6.0 ROMs for the Ifive air would work on this?
http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_602714.html?wid=11
They appear to have almost identical hardware and specs aside from screen size.
If these ROMs would not work what would have to be changed to allow them to work.
Thank you In advance for your help.

I have the ifive mini 4s now. finally received it yesterday. please let me know if there is any info that I can provide to help get things started on a firmware build that will work on this. MM aosp would be nice but cm13 or lineage 13 would be great. I'm guessing lineage 14 would be a lot harder.

Thank you in advance. And again please let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

@Oma7144 Could you please have a look at the firmware of the ifive 4s? Link in post 3 is still correct. Would be very nice to share your thoughts on a potential port of your ROMs to this device.

Thanks a million and best regards,

Dietrich

Not really sure if I could help here.

ro.build.fingerprint=IFive/IFive_US/IFive_US:6.0.1/MXC89K/root03011631:userdebug/release-keys

Build does not contain any mali.ko. So it must be in the kernel. That is new. Somebody do have the kernel sources?

Still have not heard back from ifive or reless electronics ( marketers of the repad8 which is a exact renamed version of this device) about source code for kernels. I am wondering if we are able to get the source for kernel which is android 5.1 will that provide enough info to possibly build a 6.1 kernel. I am curious because I would like lineage 14 because they now hide su to everything but root and system when the su daemon is not open. And it would also allow XDA user sultanxda method of  hiding a unlocked bootloader by turning off verified boot in kernel so safetynet gets no  response and ignores it.

Netflix with there newest version uses Google's widevine DRM and won't show up to rooted or unlocked bootloader users in play store. There is a workaround for now by just getting and installing the apk but I have read about at least one user getting there Netflix account banned this way.

Long story short still waiting on source. If a bunch more of us continue to email fnf ifive and reless electronics maybe we can get this device some custom ROM activity.

Hello.

I am a rookie in cooking ROMS. I like to learn things about it. I have a FNF iFive mini 4S too.

I would like to give some help testing things about this tablet.

Thanks.

PD: Sorry for my bad English.
