Hi,
Today I received my Mini3, tried to flash my tablet. However, my tablet won't even turn on anymore. Windows did recognized the Mini3, but now it state only "Unknown USB Device(Device Descriptor Request Failed)". What can I do?? The tablet does not respond to anything when power button is pushed on. It looks like it is dead. Any suggestions??

On Rockchip devices such as your Mini3, the tablet screen is black when it has turned in flash mode.

Hi! I had a similar had-brick issue in my mini3 retina. For an incorrect rom (my fault), the tablet lights on the screen (in black) and begin to vibrate, without stopping at all.
I wait to drain the battery, but nope.
After trying a lot of software ways to unbrick my ifive, I open it (very easy, only twist the aluminium case, and gently help to separate the plastic caps), and locate the nand chip (the only possible: there are three, but two of them clearly RAM modules, and only one to be possible a nand chip)

I tried to short pins 5 and 6 (nope) 6 and 7 (nope) and 8 and 9 (again). Obviously, with the drivers installed, the RKDevelopTool 1.37 opened, and so…
I unplug the usb, short the pins, and plug the usb to the computer every couple of pins. After 6 hours of trying, i was with no hope. I’d found another sites that's talk about 19 and 20 pin, then…. i’d tried the Russian Roulette.
I plug the usb and began to short pins: 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10…. without unplug the usb. In the 12-13 pin (I’M NOT SURE), my computer detects the tablet, and I can EraseIDB: later, with Rockchip Batch Tool v1.7, flash the correct Rom.
Then, my tablet is fully working. Thanks, arctablet!!!
