Hi,
recent (and happy) owner of a FNF Ifive Mx, I was a bit upset at first to notice than even when I wasnt using it, there was a big battery drain.. I couldnt just leave it for one day without having to recharging it.
So, I investigated a bit and I managed to find ways to stop that battery drain and I wanted to share with you how I did it.
First, In settings->wifi->advanced , be sure to have the wifi off when the screen is off.
Secondly, I've rooted my device using a chinese programme called ZhuoDaShi (you can find it here : http://www.ulozto.net/xnAgHts/zhuodashi-2-2-17-setup-exe)
Everything is in chinese but if you device is recognized, it is quite easy to root with it.. Just click on the chinese characters next to Root... You may have to do that process twice in order to gain root.
Once your deviced is rooted, using Titanium Backup, I deleted all he chinese bloatwares that were installed on It.. I deleted the apps related to the phone as I've got the Wifi version and I also delete the default launcher and replaced it with Apex launcher.
Then, I downloaded Greenify( root ) on the market. It is a software that force apps to hibernate when the screen is off. You must tell the program which apps to force to hibernate, but it it a straightforward process to do it..
Then, on the xda forum, look for CPU sleeper... Using that script, only one core of the CPU is awake when the tablet is in deep sleep rather then both core. Thus saving battery.
I also installed a apps call no-frill cpu control ( search for it on the market ) to underclock my CPU because I dont need to use the max power of it.. I mostly surf internet, watch videos and play with games that ain't really power hungry ( so that last option depends on your tablet usage ).
And doing all that, improved my battery life a little bit when using the battery, but above all, it decreased a lot (and I really mean a lot) the battery drain that occurred during deep sleep. Now, I may not use my tablet for a few days but still have some battery left. Before, even overnight would drain all the battery.
Using BetterBatteryStats to check my usage, my battery drain when in deep sleep is now less that 1%...
Let me know if it helps you to decrase your battery drain and maybe, if you have any other ideas to share about how to imcrease battery life, Illl be happy to read it.

adminThanks a lot obeguin for the detailed tip.
The custom firmware we have build for some iFive models (check in our iFive forum section) should help as they already include root, no need to use ZhuoDaShi, and they also are cleaned of Chinese apps and default launcher. In that case it's even easier to follow your procedure as users just need to configure their WiFI settings and install Apex launcher+Greenify+CPU sleeper applications.
Cheers.
