Hi Globula,

So my test result is :

writing permission is OK => if i create a test file with test editing => OK also in folders.
mount_system have a fixed capacity and even if i suppress bloatware, i have always 110ko of cpacity left => there is my problem :D

I trying to make another virtual machine to have more space. And i try

http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arnova-7c-g3/arnova-7c-g3-dev-topic/#p19668

Step 1
Linux Machine (I used Ubuntu)
We prepare the the directories and copy the system.img in the folder in which we will work.
mkdir system (here we will mount the old system.img
mkdir system_new (here we will mount the system_new.img)

Step 2 – Creation of the actual EXT4.img
dd if=/dev/zero of=system_new.img bs=4k count=60000 => my modification = 2000000 to have 2Go system space
Translation of the terms,
bs =blocksize, 4k= the size of the block`s which in this case are 4kb
count=60000, the number of block`s, in our case will result an image of 240 Mb.
The blocksize can be 1k/2k/4k/16k
To get the exact size of the image that you create use simple maths.
60000 * 4 = 240000

Step 3 Formating the system_new.img with EXT4
mkfs.ext4 system_new.img
It will be a question where you will select yes (Y)
We override the file system check (If you don`t do this, the image will not work)
tune2fs -c0 -i0 system_new.img
Step 4 We mount the ext4 partition in the directories that we previous created.
mount -o loop system_new.img system_new/
mount -o loop system.img system/
Step 5 We copy the content from the old system.img in the system_new.img
cp -v -r -p system/* system_new/
We sync the files
sync

Do you think it's the good way ?! :)

Hey guys, I just bought a iFive MX 3G and I am using this firmware and it is great.

I am a C programmer, but new to the Android world. Any tips where to begin to learn?

Like how can I unpack the image file and repack it again to make it flashable?

I tried but failed, my IMG package is not recognized by the Rochship installer.

Thank you!

http://www.rockchipfirmware.com/developer-tools

There is an utility "TNT" the run on linux or linux VM that is a menu script with 4-5 another scripts that help you for decompress img, root ...

Next step i try to root but i have "no binary SU installed" ?!?

After i want to add init.d support. For init.d do you have tutorials ? :)

Hi Globula :)

I try to make an init.d adding script. If i understand it just need to make an init.d folder in /etc ?!

So my script is :

#!/bin/bash

#add needed folders
mkdir system_mount/etc/init.d

#set permission
sudo chown root:root system_mount/etc/init.d

 sudo chmod 755 system_mount/etc/init.d

Is it good ? :)

You need to add some stuff also in the boot.img if you are doing the dsixda way or have a read here.
