Hi Globula,

I search for permissions and my conclusions are :

/system/xbin/busybox
user : root group : root permissions : ugo=wrx sticky : 0

/system/xbin/su
user : root group : root permissions : ugo=wrx sticky : 0

/system/app/superuser.apk
user : root group : root permissions : u=wrx go=r sticky : 0

Is it right ? :)

I try to make a bash script of this after :)

Here is a rooted custom firmware for the FNF iFive MX 3G tablet based on official version 1.20 (ifive_MX_3G_411_sdk2.0_V1.2.0.zip)

Build information:

Linux Kernel: Linux version 3.0.8+ (root@five-server) (gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC) ) #206 SMP PREEMPT Tue Mar 26 10:44:17 CST 2013

Android build: ifive/rk30sdk/rk30sdk:4.1.1/JRO03H/ifive.20130227.140424:eng/ifive-keys

Custom firmware features:

  • root with latest SuperSU 1.25 (free version)
  • removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications
  • increased space for application (/data partition) to 2 Gb
  • Google Play Store fixes so more applications are visible/compatible
  • updated busybox v1.21.0.git (2012-11-29)
  • Unix like init.d boot scripts support, more details on init.d scripts here
  • Android 4.2 AOSP stock launcher from here, thanks mad86

Download: kasty-fnf_ifive_mx_3g-411-120-rooted2.zip

Use Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.5 to flash the firmware, don't flash using the "sdcard" method.

Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have an iFive MX 3G to test it.

Hi, tested this, first thing checked is GPS. As you know this tablet has problem with fixing locking GPS. Wit latest official firmware 1.20 it worked but must enable agps, what the hell. Then tried your ROM. The agps does not work at all. It can not be enabled. Always come back unticked. No profile listed also. Hence GPS does not work at all. Flashing back original ROM. Working now but somehow, when I bought this in china, they must have special ROM that gps/agps cna work with wifi without enabling the modem. can work with WiFi. Now have to enable data from agps. Can not locked in with WiFi data. Even before I don't have toturn on modem.

Well, this tablet does not have a GPS module, maybe you need enable from settings/location services/google location services which will help determine the location based on the wifi

Also restart the tablet after you enable that.

Exactly if you take a look admin make two customs fimwares ;) one for wifi version and one for 3G version

For example at first test of tinm he take the 3G version for his wifi version and the result is wifi issue ;)

Hi'

The 3g version has GPS module. Since this modded ROM comes from 3g original firmware, it should work.

Sadly, if it runs standalone, GPS can not lock the satellites. It is well known issue.

Including battery problem. Battery sucks. I was hoping this modded ROM can make the battery last longer.

You can search in Chinese and Russian forum.
