Hi there,

my name is Julian and I'm new to the forum. I've seen a lot of helpful posts around here, but i couldn't find an answer to my problem.

I hope you can help me with that:

I just got an E-Ceros Vision S (CVYF-104130) and tried to install a new firmware. I used the RK Batch Tool. At first it looked like i've been successful. But then i had to realize that my tablet is bricked. I tried to install the Vido M10 firmware provided here in the forums.

It worked fine with my E-Ceros Vision i bought 2 months ago, but with the new version it doesn't.

Since i tried to flash it via RK BatchTool, it only boots on to a black screen, and keeps on rebooting a few times until it shuts down. You can hear the Windows "USB-Device plugged in / out" sound everytime it reboots and it gets recognized by the Batch Tool. But thats it. I can't even get into the recovery mode with +/- Vol. + Power Buttons.

Well, since i don't have the original firmware (yes stupid me not to make a backup), is there an chance to get a running Android Version back on to the tablet?

Also i'm very new to the topic and would be very thankful for your support - i don't want to own a 200$ bookstand :(

Hello,

Chinavasion seems to have some firmwares and documents there, unfortunately I couldn't find anything for your device Confused

Maybe you can try to get in touch and request the firmware at their contact page or thru your reseller.

Cheers.

Thanks for the fast answers. Chinavasion couldn't help, but i'm still waiting for e-ceros' support to answer.

Hope they got the firmware.

The E-Ceros support hasn't answered yet. I know it can take some time, but what if they don't have the firmware or won't give me access to it?

Is there any chance to find a firmware that works on my tablet? How big is the risk to brick it completely, while trying to flash other firmware versions?

I'm kinda nervous about that, because the tablet should have been a present :S

No chance without the genuine firmware. We need at least the kernel from that firmware.

Booting the tab with a strange kernel can kill the hardware.

Still no answer from e-ceros, but i had the (quite too easy?) idea of using a recovery software to read out the internal sd and possibly recover the original firmware. Is this just wishful thinking or might that be a solution.

If i sound like a noob it's because i am :)

You flashed a strange firmware into the tab. So, everything is gone.

If there are other owner of the tab here pls be so kind to let me know. We can dump the firmware. Many thanks in anticipation!

Yeah! It finally works again! Thank you very very much for the firmware and the support! :)

E-Ceros hasn't provided me a link to the firmware yet - they gave my enquiry to their "engineer" - that's the last I've heard of 'em.

Thanks again, guys!

Donation is on it's way ;)
