Good day!
I wounder if anybody can help me here...
Few weeks ago I got a 9.7 inch tablet what is looks like E-ceros revolution tablet but not real one... (China copy without any description on the back lid).
It was very laggy so I decided to write tweaked rooted firmware for E-ceros revolution tablet. All specs where the same:
RK3188Â CPU 1,6GHZ; Mali 400 GPU; 9.7 inch... All details(book photos and other) attached...
After I flashed the firmware("Ceros Revolution CT9716 Android 4.4.2 KitKat custom root firmware" or after failure the Q9white_update_FT5406_20130806.img) using RKAndoidtool 1.7. I figured out that forgot to make the backup of entire device, when tablet rebooted I see black screen(with back light) and computer show as usb device connected... But no image on screen...
Complete disaster it is a new tablet, never used and bricked...
I found that after firmware flash using adb shell I get root mode but not for long(for about 2 min., later tablet getting disconnected by it self) and after reboot no more root mode... Need reflash again...
In root mode I succeeded to get some logs(adb dmesg) and data about the tablet. (see .txt file attached)
Can anyone help me in such situation? I can donate some money if succeeded...
Â
P.S: To make sure that it is rk3188 device I opened tablet and checked the chip on board...

Well, this could be anything. Logs are worthless because of the strange kernel running.
Check with your supplier if he can provide the genuine firmware/kernel.

Thank you for the replay Oma.
Ok, I'll try to contact them, but I think I'll be waiting answer from them ages... Because tablet was a gift from USAGC company...
All I know that it was with their logo during boot, so they where modified boot image...
Before flashing the new firmware i used CPU identifier. So all what I know exactly from working kernel is:
RK3188(confirmed buy found on motherborad) CPU 1.6Ghz; Mali 400; 2GB RAM; 16 GB ROM.
I can open tablet and attach the pics of the motherboard if it can help a bit...
Please correct me if I'm wrong: T
ablet is the same PC as a laptop for example. But running Unix type system.(Linux)
Bootloader like a Bios on PC -> it starts the device. What I know it should be alright, other way it could not even load into recovery...
Kernel -> as I understand it is the drivers pack needed to make all components work? Not?
Rest is OS and software...
As I'm experienced in PC hardware and software repairs. there are tools to identify hardware ID's (VEN and DEV numbers...)
Are there any software to get the list of hardware ID's in shell? So possibly kernel can be created from 0?
Or may be any other  tablet kernel of similar hardware can be extended?
I have a feeling that problem is in Screen resolution... Possibly my device has lower resolution than 2000px... So why I get black screen with windows saying usb connected (adb interface).RKBatchTool  square becomes violet...
It it could be any option to set lower display resolution in kernel...
Regards,
Ivan

Yes, rk31board.
Main bit of the firmware is the kernel (hardware abstraction layer). It has to be compiled from sources.
Was Jelly Bean running on the tab?

Fairly new hardware. Just asking because with the Q9 firmware you flashed a Jelly Bean into the tab. Now also a strange bootloader is on your NAND.

Ok... Seems now all what is flashed inside are wrong... Hell...
Hm lets think... The tablet is quite new. SO possibly there must be one of following bootloaders:
Â
RK3188Loader(L)_V2.13
RK3188Loader(L)_V2.15
RK3188Loader(L)_V2.19
Â
What could happen if I flash the newer loader? Are they more specific than by CPU type? RK3188Loaders should be alright for all RK3188 boards and the newer ones supports newer hardware?
Found 1 firmware and not sure if I should try It? It with lower resolution what could possibly solve the black screen problem...

Ok, this build should work: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=3622
Here is the kernel from the Samsung P9700: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2423. Change in folder rockdev/Images before flash.
Before running RKAndroidTool you need to change the loader first: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1631. For instructions see included picture. Use the v2.10 loader.

Ok. So done as you told...
1) Switched loader to 2.10version in Rk batch using tutorial...
2) Replaced kernel.img in RkAndroidTool (rockdev) and unticked loader there...
3) ErasedIDB and runed flash.
Result is similar as I had before: Only change is that tablet is in Mass Storage USB mode after reboot and does not reboot by it self after some time (before kernels where rebooting device after few minutes with loose of root...)... The root stays after device rebooted Good sign. So possible kernel is almost alright... Again error about mali driver... Display black... the rest is no more any errors in log. Just take a look...
Attaching log of dmesg and system info

Check these kernel:
http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2172
http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2352
http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2205
http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1949
http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=2099
http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1855
http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?wpfb_dl=1845
Flash it into the running build. Just tick parameter and kernel. You can load the kernel in RKAndroidTool by clicking on the empty box at the end of the kernel line.

No, a kernel has to be compiled from source code.
