Regarding the memory leakage issues, there is a solution.

According to this (and some others on pda.ru forum), Generick V6 CWM ROM does not expose the memory leak bug, both in HD and SD modes.

The problem is, no matter what I do, I end up always booting in CWM without being able to format /system partition.

Is there any possible way to "insert" this ROM inside the Kasty X900 system.img and create a new ROM package to be flashed with RKBatchTool?

Many thanks in advance.

If you unzip the file, you loose the permissions when you want to move them to a system.img, therefore the tablet will not boot.

I understand that unzipping the file would not work, that's why I wrote 'insert', so that permissions are preserved.

I way would be like this :
1: flashing this firmware to the tablet
2: using adb to dump the system partition in a system.img
3: recreate an update pack using the extracted system.img

The problem is that this ROM (Generick V6) requires CWM to flash and currently I am unable to flash CWM to the X900 (it bricks).

You probably need the new CWM, see this thread:

http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/39486-romdanerick-chuwi-v99vido-n90fhdcube-u9gtvvisture-4hd-retina-tablet/page__st__1120

I believe it is included in this tutorial:

Hi!

Thank you for the ROM. I have a N90FHD, and this ROM it's better than the original, much more stable.

Good job!
