I have just posted a firmware for the 97R dated 2013/01/08, it seems a little faster than the Hyundai Play one.

Hello,

Thank you very much for providing this ROM.

Hyundai has an updated version of their ROM dated 10-Jan-2013, do you plan to update your ROM to reflect these changes?

Thank you very much in advance.

I may build a custom firmware based on this update, but I'd really prefer that you test it first and see if it's working better than previous versions. Also, compare the version number for the Android system and Kernel in Settings / About tablet with the information I gave in post #1 to make sure this update is a different version.

Finally, it would save me some time if you can provide a direct download link for the update.

Cheers.

Hello,

After comparing this ROM with the details you mention on the first page, it's the same one.

I've also recovered the file Hyundai put on 9/1/2013 from a backup and compared it with the ROM of 10/1/2013 and it's the same (same files, different creation dates). I don't know why they did this, but it seemed as they have fixed something.

The download page (Google Translate) for the X900 ROMs is here.

Again, thank you for your help and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I will watch this thread and notify you of any future updates.

May I suggest something (don't know if it's the right place)?

Can you remove - from a future ROM - apps like Chrome, Facebook and Skype, so that the ROM could be even more "clean"? Chrome especially is bloated, anyone who wants it can always install it from the market :)

Sure, newest firmwares should have Facebook and Skype removed.

About Chrome, I usually left it as it showing as incompatible app and couldn't be installed from Google Play Store. It should be fine now with the Play Store fixes I am adding in the newer custom firmwares, so I'll probably remove Chrome as you are requesting.

Thanks for your help watching for new firmwares

Cheers.

Run the RKBatch tool and connect the tablet via USB cable.

If the tablet is not recognized (i.e you see a message with "no RKusb" e.tc), you have to put it in flash mode: hold down the power and Volume+ buttons together and keep the tablet connected to the PC via USB cable. As I assume you've already installed the rockUSB drivers, the RKBatch tool should detect your tablet (you will see a green port number in the RKBatch window).

Select the ROM you want to flash and hit the UPGRADE button to start the flashing procedure.

We recommend to use restore, not upgrade, the upgrade has bricked enough tablets on the RK Soc, even in the front page of download, it is writen , restore, not upgrade.
