ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install for RK3066 and RK3188 -- TWRP/CWM Flash-Tool and root for RK3288
Please donate to support OMA and CrewRKTablets firmware work, thank you !
Here is another custom firmware for the Cube U9GT5 or compatible tablets (Chuwi V99, Visture V4HD, Yuandao N90 FHD, Hyundai Play X900)
This new firmware comes from a stock firmware of a Hyundai Play X900Â tablet released yesterday (2013/01/09)
Based on the quick tests I did, there is still some lag in HD mode but I found it to be the most responsive compared to all firmware for the U9GT5 and compatible machines I have tried so far. Give the system a little time after you have installed and synced all your apps.
Custom firmware features:
- root with latest SuperSU 0.99 (free version)
- writable /system partition
- removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications (there is still a little cleaning to do)
- increased space for application (/data partition) to 2 Gb
- Google Play Store fixes so more application are visible/compatible
Build information:
Linux Kernel:Â Linux version 3.0.8+ (root@xingyu-desktop) (gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC) ) #216 SMP PREEMPT Wed Jan 9 10:15:52 CST 2013
Android build:Â rk30sdk/rk30sdk/rk30sdk:4.1.1/Play X/20130109.094407:eng/release-keys
Download:Â kasty-cube_u9gt5-based_hyundai_play_x900_20130109-41-rooted3.zip
For Cube U9GT5, should also work on compatible tablets: Chuwi V99, Visture V4HD, Yuandao N90 FHD, Hyundai Play X900
Use Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.5 to flash the firmware, use Restore button.
Â
Please report any problem with this firmware. There is some extra cleaning to do with Chinese apps and homescreen, I'll make a new update soon.

Root checker says it s rooted. But there's no su in the apps.
I tried ESfile explorer to edit the build.prop, i went in the settings to get root mode, but it was not working.
I edited build.prop but i could not save.
In the play store i could not get play books, or play music, nor facebook for exemple.Â

How about installing SuperSU or Superuser from Market? It is that simple.
Execute it, actualize binaries and you're good.
It definitely is prepared for root, but (as always) you have to have the apps installed and execute them for once.

Hello I tried to install this firmware in to my u9gtv, it has now the original firmware from factory, but I can't do it, the Rockchip batch tool shows "This operation didn't do, because of not supporting" I dont know if I do it correctly, I'm not an expert. I have link the update folder in FW Path and then press the restore button, the tablet on and connect with the usb cable.
Thanks

Did you put the tablet in flashing mode?

This is an easy one: "Restore" is not the right choice. Press "Update" and you're good.
