I've also tried by turn off and turn on by pressing power and + button but the tablet won't turn on. So I just turn on the tablet and plug in the usb. Then the tablet is detected as u can see in picture above (connected devices, 2-1-2). Then I try to upgrade, error occur, I tried restore also not working. Can somebody help me on this?

you are doing it wrong when you update the tablet should be in recovery mod not turned on
first turn of your tablet now plug it to the pc via usb now press the volume up and the power button
keep pressing them for few seconds now you should hear your pc detecting a devise now release the buttons go to devise manager update the driver that is supplied with the rockchip batch tool after updating the driver start rockchip batch tool and you should be able to upgrade the firmware.

Hi all,
Finally I'm able to flash my U9GT4. The main thing during RockChipUsb driver installation is I press both power and + button to long. The best way to do it is open your device manager, connect your U9GT4 and press the power and + button until your PC detect "Unknown Device" then release both button (approx in 2-3 seconds after both button were pressed) . If your PC detect "U9GT4" or "rockchip U9GT4" you won' be able to install the device driver.
I want to thanks to all of you especially Mosasha who help me a lot in solving this problem.
However, by installing this upgrade firmware, I'm hoping that I'm able to fix the speaker problem which is toooo slow and the battery indicator problem which I think it really crazy. The battery goes less than 10% after I restart even though it is fully charged previously. Is anybody having the same problem with me?
Cheers

glad you made it
as for the speakers i think you mean low volume if thats what you mean then i think a software solution will make nothing
and as for the battery i found that charging the tab for along time it will last long on the battery for hours and the battery reached 58%
cheers

Thank you guys. I was finally able to flash the image but I see that system hangs occassionally. Has anyone seen the same. Are there any instructions on how to modify the update "image" to have a look at the content of the update and modify it. I want to add gtalk application and see if it works.

I was able to install gtalk after pulling the apk from phone and copying into system/app dir with right permission. The device appears to be hung when the charger is plugged in and we try to press the power key to turn off the screen. Is anyone seeing similar problem ? Is adb working on this device ? It never worked for me even with the older image.

Just released: Cube U9GT4 official firmware version 1.02 U9GT4_V1.02_20121110.zip (2012/11/10)
Android build: rk30sdk-user 4.0.4 IMM76D eng.wbx.20120615.112351 test-keys
Linux Kernel: Linux version 3.0.8+ (root@yf-server) (gcc version 4.4.3 (GCC) ) #348 SMP PREEMPT Thu Nov 1 10:21:54 CST 2012
Here is a custom rooted firmware version of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based on official Cube version 1.02
Features:
- root with SuperSU 0.96 (free version)
- writable /system partition
- removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications
- increased space for application (/data partition) to 2 Gb.
Rooted custom firmware for the CUBE U9GT4: kasty-cube_u9gt4-41-102-rooted.zip
Using Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.5 to flash the firmware.
Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have a Cube U9GT4 to test it.
i hope u can make a room with a modified build.prop and a cwm for u9gt4
