Here is a custom rooted firmware version of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based on official Cube version 1.02
- root with SuperSU 0.96 (free version)
- writable /system partition
- removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications
- increased space for application (/data partition) to 2 Gb.
Rooted custom firmware for the CUBE U9GT4: kasty-cube_u9gt4-41-102-rooted.zip
Using Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.5 to flash the firmware.
Please report any problem with this firmware, I can't verify this custom firmware works as I don't have a Cube U9GT4 to test it.

I am having the same problem with the drivers on 64 bit windows 7.i see that the usb I'd of the device doesn't match the ones in driver. I tried adding my devices usb id that is 18D1 something and then the driver got installed but doesn't work. Can you point me to the right version of the Rock chip driver which works with u9gt4
i used this version http://www.arctablet.com/blog/downloads/tools/Firmware/Rockchip_CPU_based/Rockchip_Batch_Tool_v1.5.zip and i installed the drivers on a 64bit win7
Ok but you said that you modified the id, and still it didn't work with flashing...as far as i understood. I have also the same drivers.
i didnt modify anything just went to devise manager update driver and selected rockchip path and it installed the drivers
and btw are you using your pc with a guest account or administrative?
