This version is messed up for me: "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped."
With 4b, I had google search which kept crashing. I'm using the restore option in Rockchip tool.
This last version based on users feedback should be our final custom firmware release for firmware 1.05: it has Google Search removed and default Pinyin keyboard left.Â

Please flash with Rockchip Batch Tool 1.7, use Restore button.
Please let us know how it goes.

Well I just removed velvet.apk and now, it's fineSlighty off topic but what software are you using to remove them and what do you recommend removing like the chinese apps?
Also what replacement launcher is a good choice. Cheers.
once you have root access, just use root explorer or root browser to delete manually in system/app/ the apps you don't want to keep.
edit: but it's true that the battery does not last as long as with 4.1.1 firmware.

What is strange is the ui going from tablet mode to phablet, which I don't like (and because of that, small clock).
Battery drain is also a problem, I'll verify when I get back at home the remaining % of battery (wifi turned off before leaving for work). Maybe it is a problem of battery calibration due to the new firmware.
One good point is that I feel that the UI is smoother. My gf didn't find any difference except the UI and asked why it was better to change the firmware...
