Is the HDMI tested working?

I actually posted in the U30GT2 thread and realised that I bought this instead.

I just installed and looks like it is working. To install I had to do the following:

on cube device go to settings, developer options, usb debugging

then turn off device, once off hold power and volume + button to put into flash mode

open up the batch tool and your device should show up pink

up towards the top select your update.img file

device should turn green in batch tool

click update and after a couple minutes your device will finish

I literally just finished. This fixed the play store error I was getting(compatibility), now I can install some apps I had previously purchased(wolframalpha). also the keyboard isn't in Chinese anymore. Its kinda small for my taste right now, but I'm sure I can change it later.

I just got this tablet today, Im not sure the advantages of this rom yet or if there were alot of defects in the original.

I leave feedback as I get it though.

Thanks!

I flashed with this firmware and it works great.

Except that the 3.5mm audio jack is faulty to begin with, and the WiFi signal is really bad as compared to my phone.

Whats wrong with the jack? My wifi isnt as good as my phone but works fine unless in a low signal area.

I got mine from geekbuying.com no problems with mine yet except the gps doesnt really work.

I tried the earphones on my phone and it works fine, but when I plug it into the u35gt2, the sound is distorted.

I bought from geekbuying too. I think they sent me a faulty tablet.

The u35gt2 has got no GPS.

I tried the bluetooth, cameras, touch screen, screen display, microSD port, charging, all work fine.

Faulty audio jack, and have yet to test the HDMi port (adapter have not arrive).

I guess that explains why gps doesnt work. the audio on mine isnt distored, but defineatly not as good as my htc with beats. Im looking for audio enhancement rite now. Hdmi works here, i havent connected a usb device yet tho.

I alao opened up this thing and notice it would be quite easy to upgrade the wifi antenna if needed.

I may need help. I am using an Asus Eee PC with XP to upgrade a Cube U35GT2 with this firmware. I can get the Cube to go into USB upgrade mode (little android with his belly open...lol) The Asus acknowledges the Cube as a new device. I then use the install wizard to install the driver. I direct the wizard to the X86 - XP folder, but, the install then fails. It says something like the required file was not found. Please can any one help.....thank you.

I quote you "(little android with his belly open…lol)" IS NOT THE FLASHING MODE
In flashing mode there is no image on the screen.

Yah. It separates where the screen meets the metal case. It just clips together. I used my fingernails to pry it apart starting on the side with the speakers. When opened it looks like this.

Hi all,

A little question about the size of the firmware added in this forum (see link behavior) :

-> kasty-cube_u35gt2-411-104_20130710-rooted4.zip -> Size 258 MB

-> U35GT2_V1.04_20130710.rar (Firmware downloaded directly from http://www.51cube.com ) -> Size 242 MB

Why so difference size between those firmware (16MB !!!) ?

Thank you (newbie in cube tablet)
