Hi everyone,
First let me describe the problems i had. I got my U30GT2 3 days back and instantly noticed that the wifi connection was extremely slow and was disconnecting a few times. It could not be the router fault as i have my laptop and mobile in the same room on the same table. I also discovered that wifi turns off by itself when the tablet goes in to sleep despite selecting the option "Always" in the advance wifi tab. I checked for possible solutions  and apps but nothing worked. Atlast i rooted my device and flashed a custom rom. But the problem still persisted.Â
Possible solution. I had my tablet and laptop close to each other on the table but when i kept my tablet at a distance from the laptop the wifi worked almost fine and no disconnections. Also I had good speed. I watched 1080p videos with no buffering or stopping. I experiment this many times and found out this was the problem. I have no idea why is it this way and i hope someone lets me why. The solution i found to keep wifi awake at sleep is by using Regpon wifi keepalive app from the play store.Â
I want you guys to also experiment with the solutions i have found and let me know if it worked for you. Try it out for a day and let me know the results below.Â
Thanks guys...

This is what i did to permanently solve my wifi problem
1. I flashed the latest firmware from the cube website v1.05 link here
http://www.51cube.com/ch/DownShow.asp?ID=150
2. I rooted my device using this method link here
3. I am using Netgear N600 router at my place. I change the channel in the wifi settings from auto to "6"
After doing all this i had really good wifi speed and signal all the time. but i had problems with youtube. it kept on buffering on hd videos.
4. so i downloaded an older version of youtube link here from xda
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2053245
now i can play hd videos with no buffering at all
I hope this helps someone to solve their wifi problem...if you have any questions let me knowÂ
thanks.

My router is in my living room. To counter this weak wifi problem when I used it in my bedroom, I used my pc as a wifi hotspot (to work like a wifi repeater) and connect my tablet to it at full signal.

I'm using Connectify. There are also other solutions that require your PC to have a wired connection to free up the wireless for making the hotspot. You can google it and hopefully find something that works for you.
