Used the JB Test Firmware and now on the final v2.0.4 done by ArcTablet and my tablet still continues to lag a lot... and here's what I used to fix the issue:

1. Download SetCPU (costs $2++, there may be an alternative out there, but I just purchased this one instead)

2. Create 2 profiles

3. 1st profile is set to turn on when screen display is ON. If it is, set CPU MAX to 1608, MIN to 1416

4. 2nd profile is to run when screen is locked. If it is, set CPU MAX to 504, MIN to 312

5. Check Set on Boot on the main tab and you should be good to go.

Works like a charm and I rarely get lags on my device now. Luckily the kernel seem to support SetCPU's controls.

Let me know if this works as well for you guys.

ADD: This will obviously impact battery usage. My battery depletes faster than the usual, but I'd rather deal with that than with a lagging tablet. :)

Nice try, I used free cpu control to set the same working frequency as you. Compared to my tf101 with crappy tegra 2 running cm10.1 4.2.2, gt2 still lags everywhere. You are only partly compensating using CPU power for firmware mistakes that will probably never be fixed.

Maybe that's not the best way to stop lag...

There are some : they must be identified. I see these ones :

- Launcher->install Apex, Nova or Holo launcher and there's no lag anymore...problem is the launcher, not the tablet : sad Cube didn't replace it in his Rom

- Apps->ask if apps is fit to FullHd...try in normal mode, if it works fine...Apps is maybe the problem, try several others witch make de same things (exemple : Chrome, change with Opera...even if the last update from Google improve Chrome, see the changelog : proove that the problem doesn't come from tablet)

- Googleplay when update-> in my opinion due to the very weak Nand write speed...I have no good solution for this one, if someone have...

Remember that there are not many fullHD Android tablet before Cube (Nexus 10, Iconia A700, Asus TF700...), some have the same problems....developpers haven't many devices to test what they create, with time and new tablet (not many Cortex A9 ones : sad for us!) they will improve apps for HD (multithreading? GPU acceleration?)

Problems can come :

- from hardware

- from software...not only rom, apps too

- from both

If you explain where are your lags we could try to find all together a solution witch not decrease faster the

battery.

And maybe make a list of the best apps for our device

Interesting result.. Aside from Smart Launcher I haven't customized the tablet as much and setting the CPU profile was enough to make it responsive. Chrome for one, was a huge pain to run even up to now if I remove the CPU profile, but works just fine with the profiles up and running.
