Can anyone provide confirmation on the following:

  • Does this ROM support multi-window?
  • Any confirmation on whether the latest version of the Netflix app (from Play, v3.3.1429, dated 21 Mar 2014) works properly, as this version just stopped working on v2.06 (with Xposed)?
  • Is the Xposed framework required/available on this ROM?

Thanks in advance - getting ready to jump ship from 2.06 - I can back everything up with Titanium, but the most important aspects for me are:

  • Battery life (seems OK)
  • Wi-Fi connectivity (improved!)
  • Lag when updating (improved - amazing!)
  • Netflix
  • Flixter/Ultraviolet
  • Chromecast support (just got one and I LOVE it! Maybe a Roku next...)

As always, any answers are gratefully appreciated (and always get a Thanks from me!)

No on multi-window as far as I know, yes on xposed, I have it on, had it with both versions although I think my DarthJabba rom version also loaded it on. Working fine too. I do have a different kernnel from one that kasty brought us! Don't know about netflix, don't have it in use.

Have you managed to get Flixster/Ultraviolet working?  If so, which ROM and how?  I keep getting the message that streaming isn't supported (even if the tablet is unrooted)

Getting Flixter/UV:

For 2.06 ROM:

  • Installed Xposed and Rootcloak module, added flixter to the cloaked apps.
  • Disabled SuperSU (from the app, go to Settings and uncheck Enable Superuser).

Of course, now I have put these steps down on paper, I realise I've enabled SuperSu since, so god knows why this is still working. Sigh... I'll update if I prove/disprove any theories, but for now try the above. I'm on the latest version of Flixter. Perhaps, once it becomes enabled (with SuperSu disabled) it simply remembers this - I dunno.

On Xposed:

Thanks - found the references on DJs CWM version, so I know it will work.

On multi-window:

Seems this was enabled in /system/build.prop as the key/value pair:

ro.rk.multi_window=true.

Now, I know this was enabled through the kernel, which I'm assuming is what similar to the kernel used in KitKat . If so, adding this pair could enable it? Any thoughts/pioneers willing to check or test?

Thanks all.

Just loaded this rom and am very pleased of it.

One problem is that not a single browser can play flash player. Is it normal, have i missed something ?

Thanks.

Didn't android stop supporting flash player?  I read about a mod for dolphin but it failed on me.

First, thanks for your hard work!

One question, someone have the uinput.ko file for the kernel of this rom?

I need it for Doridmote app.

Thank you!

I have now installed this rom (I was previously on 2.06), then CWM, the DJ's rom and I am impressed.  The tablet feels slick and I no longer seem to have crashes or hangs (although still early days).  The only downside was the flicker which is fixed by disabling hw overlays.  And thanks to Twart, I now have my Flixster/Ultraviolet movies playing.

It will take something spectacular to make me move from this rom.

Well I've been asking about a HDMI problem for a little while, mine gives a flicker/flashes off/on every 5 to 10 seconds on the screen connected to the HDMI but the tablet screen continues side by side without this flicker/flash. has done it since I got it!.on all the ROMs, at every overclocked/std kernels. Different cables & tvs still the same.

I'd love a solution to that!!

I got the same flickering as others with this ROM but the HW overlay disable worked for that.

I still get a red border flash up around changing webpages etc I think it did that on first 4.4 rom too.

Battery seems OK though.

Neither problem so far after going down to the kasty kernel level with the DJ rom. But I missed the flickering red frame so much I went back up to the 768/720 kernel...kidding about missing it, but I like the rest of the kernel advantage and I dont mind the red frame so much. I use mine for reading and tinkering mostly.
