So when I've installed apps like GO launcher EX and Next Launcher I've noticed that icons drag as I turn the the screen page from left to right; half the icon would move and then the other half would follow with a delay.  Anyone with this problem?  Also when saying "OK Google" the bottom right corner of tablet flashes red repeatedly.  Help?

So far this version seems to be better on battery then beta 1.

It seems so. Even with my overclocked kernel, standby battery drain is currently 2% in 15 hours (note that the ringer is set to "silent") - but these are early days yet. We shall see how it all goes.

I played with the default kernel and dropped 4% in 90 minutes, will retest with the over clock...

Looking SWEET so far..

Is it necessary, to format data partition before apply new version in CWM format?

No. That would defeat the whole purpose of having a CWM installation (keeping your installed apps and settings). The CWM installer script does everything that needs to be done.

A good manip for me

1 install kasty-cube_u30gt2-442-20140219-rooted7_mu

2 use RKAndroidTool

   all sqares unchecked

on line "recovery" chose CWM_recovery_ifiveX2_442.img & check this square

   press flash rom

after reboot a good 6 recovery is installed

3 to go to recovery

   use arctools apk

or once cube down press v+ & start buttons

   wait some seconds

   release strat button

   release v+ button

  that's all

but arctools apk is the best

install what you wish from DJ 442 kernels

Hi!

Tell me, please, how the sensors work in this beta firmware? Such as light, gyro, etc.

Because in previous KK firmware theese elements not work on my tablet. And this was why I downgrade to 4.2.2...

Thank You.

I have the same problem. Also video on Netflix is flickering. Going back to the 2014/01/21 ROM

Thank You.

The only one I found not working is the hall sensor for magnetic direction, used in apps like compass.

All others appear to be fine.

It works mostly fine so far. I use this rom with the fastest kernel from DJ.

Antutu score was over 22000. fine. XBMC 13 Beta plays 1080p Vids perfectly smooth over WiFi. UI very fast and smooth.

But some issues.

The statusbar sometimes is flickering.

Yesterday evening I switched of the device (only screen, no shutdown); today in the morning it reboots like after shutdown. The Battery shows than 98%. Yesterday I switched of by 100%.

Where is the Calendar app. Is there a way to install it?

many thanks for the great work....

When running Netflix. Aslong as the statusbar is visable "back, home et.c" Video play just fine. But in fullscreen mode video is flickering. I'm the only one with this problem? This was working just fine in 21/1 rom

Hi guys

May 20132 I bought a U30GT2 CUBE by Hongkongeek
interesting caracteristics
excellent use

February 2014 battery hs
then I received a nonfirmware battery (11000 ma, 7,4 v)
I open the cube
it is a badly recycled one
all the screws are maintained with compound cement
all screws screwed on soft plastic parts
all flat cables are not yet welded but scotched
battery connectors and screen flat cable are scotched with the same scotch
it is impossible to re screws the cube parts

I open a 49 € tablet
no scoth
connectors everywhere
all screws on metalic parts

the cube caracteristics paper is excellent
the cube itself is an obscene material
All problems on the cube come from the very bad quality of the material

A GOOD ADVICE DON'T BUY ANY CUBE MATERIAL, CUBE IS A DISHONEST FIRM
my job research, development, quality, validation engineer

I've been seeing some flickering when tapping on screen to change web pages, but did not give it much thought as it still moves the pages along. I noticed that in the previous rom also. I am still on the kasty rom, wondering about heat from back. I noticed more heat when its plugged in to charge and I am actually using it at the same time. But again, I saw that in the previous roms.

If anyone has changed rom to different DJ roms could you tell us more about your experience with the other roms vs the kasty rom! In the last beta I went with a higher DJ, OCt14 cpu 1800_798gpu_720ddr_4 and found it smoother, but with the same heat problem when plugged in. It was warm while using unplugged but I only would plug it in when I got the 4% battery signal. I would plug it in  and continue reading until it reached 100% and finish my reading pluggin it in as needed, then unplugging when charged.

At this time using Gsam Battery monitor, I am a 2% end of my first callibration since flashing new rom, I see 2.1%h-3h 36m active, bat life 16h 44m(3d 8hr standby), Screen-on 16h 5m (23h 27, Max) credited as average per complete charge and...crap it just shut down on me. In any case I flashed rom and left it asleep for I believe 1.5 days/two days. When I looked i saw it was still at the 100% charge from this initial battery callibration. Once in use however I do notice a higher drop off from the previous rom with the above mentioned DJ Kernel.

The built in battery monitor says 1d 22h 17m on battery

I am about to recharge it again because one set of numbers from one callibration even does not make an  valid average statistic results. I will check back later at the next cycle end.

At this point telling us the Cube is a bad piece of hardware is counter-productive and frankly tiring. We all, by now know what we got. We hoped for the best when we bought it, for some it has not worked out, for others like me it has been a beneficial learning experience. I don't think I would have learned much buying a high priced tablet with practically no problems. At the time I bought mine, March 2013 I think, I could not afford anything better and still can't! Had it not been for an extra little bit of change I saved from my income tax return, I would not even be here.

Having said that, more useful tech related critique/advice/comentary would be more appreciated to all those who want to continue to tinker, or make out experience better and would be more welcomed.

Just saying!

PS. I am liking the additional freebees with the new roms also!
