Mmm, Â as I know, Â it doesn't exist a device dedicated version of CWM. Â It works in the same way for all rooted devices. Â And the current version works without problems with CM11. This is the reason why I think the problem is in the Cube ROM. Â Of course it's my 2 cents only...Â
I don't know where to start from. You're sooo wrong in each and every of your statements.
CWM has native support for the limited range of devices, like Samsung, HTC, LG, etc. It doesn't have out-of-the-box support for Cube because that brand is not well known on a world-wide scale, there are not so many users compared to other best-sellers, etc. So it doesn't work in the same way for all devices. And root is not neccessary, since for example on MTK devices, you can flash it with only SP Flash Tools without problem. CWM can be customized for every device, but it requires some skill and experience. Here's a great tutorial on how to make one, but it is MTK specific. For now, CWM is not fully functional on Cube because KitKat works in a very different way compared to JB. So please, catch up on your readings before you write something like that. Or at least verify your sources before you make such statements.

@AndrzejM123 - this is an overclocked version of the stock KitKat kernel from the Kasty 4.4.2 ROM. Don't try it with any kernel from 4.2.x - it won't work (although Oma seems to have got a KitKat ROM working with a Jelly Bean kernel and the old bootloader - but that is for different tablets - see http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?author=3)
Did You tested this kernel with overclocked ddr? This was best solution in 4.2.2 for me.Â

Hi all, I have a problem with my tablet after installation of this ROM. It will not stay turned off if it is still connected to the charger, when I try it just reboots itself.
Also every time it reboots it updates apps 1 to 36 ( I think this has something to do with ART ) , anyone got an idea that might help.
Apart from that its working fine, very quick and very smoothÂ

Uh, Â uh, thanks for the in-depth explaination, Â it's clear my knowledge of this topic is very limited. Â I installed Kitkat on my LG P700 and I didn't figured out any comment about differencies in functionaly among JB and KK, so I've extended this feeling to Cube. Â I was wrong. Â Thanks again. Â Never stop to learn....Â

Hi
I can confirm issue with tablet not powering off when charging via charger or usb. If i plug it in, when its off it will boot.
Issue with "updating apps" during start up occurs as well with ART (Dalvik works fine).
Reboot option is missing from power menu, but it might be feature

I've tried that now out of curiosity and it behaves the same way as yours
I didn't tried that while I was on JB. Is that a KitKit "feature", or is it due to hardware?

How can I go to bootloader using hardware keys? When I'm using vol up+power device is going to recovery mode
Press both Volume+ and power, and hold them down for about one minute. Then release the power button, while still holding down the volume+ button. That should do it (well, at least, it works for me).

HIiiiiii  admin, DJ, anyoneÂ
Once 442 installed it is impossible to go back 422, ... with rocktool 1.7, 1.6, 1.5
message "firmware dowload error"
what to do ??
Â
restoring 442 is always ok
it seems impossible to clean system parameters by a 442 restore
 Â
thx
Well, I managed to do it once - but I don't care to repeat the process. I can't quite remember all of it, but I remember thinking at one point that I had completely killed the tablet. It involved first flashing the v1.x bootloader from the JellyBean ROMs. It might actually have been less traumatic (and perhaps more straightforward) if I had remembered to use the JellBean parameter file as well - but I didn't.
Let's just say that, unless you really hate KitKat and are prepared for your tablet to be permanently bricked, then you might as well stay with KitKat.

BTW: I have found a CWM Recovery that works with KitKat 4.4.2 on the U30GT2. It is called "iFive X2 Android 4.4.2 CWM Recovery by ManuPC" which admin might know something about, as he has a version of it in an arctools package.
A download link for the CWM Recovery is given by ManuPC here: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/fnf-ifive-tablets/rom-fnf-ifive-x2-android-4-4-2-kitkat-custom-rooted-firmware-based-on-v2-0-0-20140108/page-3/
Notes:
1. I installed it with RKAndroidTool (deselected everything except the Kasty "parameter" file from the 4.4.2 ROM and the ManuPC "CWM recovery ifiveX2 442" recovery image).
2. It keeps asking (when rebooting from CWM) whether you want to disable the stock recovery from being installed, and whether you want to fix the root access. It doesn't seem to matter whether you answer yes or no.
3. Something seems sensitive to assert statements in updater-script files in CWM update packages, making it stop processing them. I will look more into this. But I have run a couple of them successfully. It can be flaky especially after running a CWM upgrade package (sometimes it hangs, or claims there is no space left on the device when trying to reboot after running a package) - a hard reboot (pressing the power button for a long time) usually solves that problem.
4. It works for me (so far). But your mileage may vary. If it kills your tablet, don't blame me!
