it seems that maps can't access www

Maps works for me; it's not smooth as before but works and finds correctly my position (based on network). Try to install it again from GPlay after uninstalling.
The thing that puzzles me is the calendar service: I linked my account to the tablet but calendar synchronization is not available (not in the list) like there's no calendar service installed. But calendar app is there... sadly empty!Â
Anyone with the same problem?
P.S.: good job, admin! Love to try this new baby!Â

I need to take back what I said yesterday about "decent stand-by battery consumption". I left my tablet overnight for 8 hours in stand-by, and the battery dropped down from 24% to 5%. That's almost 2,5% per hour! Not acceptable at all. And that's with no other apps installed. Is it because it's a first discharge or because it drains faster when low on battery? I'll have to install some battery apps and see if I can find the culprit.
You may not be getting reliable stats. I think you may find that you first need to discharge the battery completely, and then charge it up to full again.
PS: with my overclocked ("T14") KitKat kernel, I have had 6% battery usage in 14 hours so far (with a couple of small activities in-between).

Greetings,
Been away from the forum for a while, but i've been tracking whats going.
Thanks before anything for the new test version. I really hope it gets to a stable state, our tablet deserves a good SO to take advantage of such hardware.
My feeling about the rom, overall feels laggy, even with animations off. Battery discharge issue again, could be wrong but i think its the phone apps eating up battery again.
CPU @ 1.6Ghz hope to see it at 1.8
Brightness inverted.
As to to memory management seems to be alot better. Antutu around 18500.
Cheers.

I guess what you're describing as 'lag' here is the microstuttering of the interface when scrolling, navigating? Nova does not solve this. The buttery interface we experienced with Jelly bean ROMs cannot be replicated with this KitKat ROM. Re-drawing of the interface is simply happening at a lower fps.
On the other hand, tablet is now much more responsive when executing several apps/actions at the same time. It does not get stuck for minutes and minutes like it was the case with JellyBean ROMs

Thanks for reply. This was my first (almost complete) discharge. Now it's up to 100%, so I will be looking at it more closely throughout the day/s. And btw, from 5-95% it took it 4,5 hours! Is that normal? On my previous tablet with 9800mAh it took about 3h. How much capacity does U30GT2 have?
Regarding kernel, can it be downloaded from somewhere? And how could I put it on my tablet, now when CWM is not working properly?
Thanks a bunch!

Okay So I tried to discharge the battery last night and I left it at about 2% before It stop turning on completely, so I figure this morning it be dead. Nope, @ 20%, so in the process of discharging it now again.
Front camera seems to be working now, but not rear. This after reflashing Cube a second time. I am not experiencing noticeable lag. I reloaded quite a few of my apps and they went a lot faster to load. Surfing seem not laggy to me. I even downloaded the xdaframework much faster than in the past and a few of the modules. No lag in between them. No lag turning from one app to the other.
I guess as always we are all having different experiences with our tablets.
Keep up the good reporting though!

Loading apps, switching among apps, running various process in the background... all of that feels much faster and responsive in this KitKat ROM
Navigating in menus, home pages is as fast as previous versions but less smooth, there's some slight stuttering, less fps, so to say...
I think it's important to differentiate these 2 concepts when talking about a 'laggy' ROM. This is not a 'laggy' ROM at all, apart from the not-so-smooth interface, tablet feels much more responsive and actually... useful

Well, I think I was the only one...
Anyway I found that there was no apk for Calendar synchronization: I had to put one in using Titanium Backup and recovering the right files from my phone (that has KitKat).
If anyone is interested I can share the files to use: just ask.

From which location could we download your kernel please?

OK, I haven't used it for the past 7 hours, and it dropped for only 6%, so I guess it was due to the first discharge. Hoping it will even be better after a few full cycles. But anyway, we all would greatly appreciate if you could upload your tweaked kernel you were talking about. Possibly with instructions on how to do it? Thanks.
