Interesting... it comes with new Flash utility. It's in Chinese but can be switched to English translation by editing ini file. I wonder whether the first tab (called Download Image) can be used to download full image backup from tablet or it's the other way round. Other functions are also quite interesting.
I am not going to flash this and destroy my data, hoping Kasty and DJ would prepare and publish CWM compatible ZIP file at some point. Is there even any hope 4.2.2 could be upgraded to 4.4 retaining user data, without resorting to full img flash?
The instructions are in chinese. I can deal with that using google Translate, but the tool fails to open the config file (probably because of chinese characters in there), and I can't find how to deal with that. Someone else would have to help finding how to flash that img file.
Edit ..AndroidTool_Release/config.ini to have entries like this:
That will switch to English translation. Also make sure none of the folder names contain any chinese characters, use rename function to remove them.
Flash tool starts for me with both Chinese and English translations but I am not ready to proceed with actual flashing.
I just flashed it! It is booted and functionnal...
I'll have some feedbacks latter or tomorrow.

I have just posted a custom Android 4.4.2 KitKat test firmware:
I am afraid a CWM style firmware packages can't be done for upgrade from Android 4.2 or earlier versions as KitKat firmwares use a new Rockchip loader than can't be upgraded thru CWM. You will have to use Rockchip Batch Tool.

It boots fast, it is more fluid than all previous ROM 4.x.x that I have tried.
No crash so far.
Camera (both),Rotation, bluetooth are working.
TUN modules present, but no CIFS.
Audio over USB doesn't work.
Antutu score: 18286 @ 1.6GHz (even if I got over 20000 with some other clocked kernels/ROM, I found this ROM to be more responsive).
Really good! I am surprised to see a good ROM straight from Cube after all we have seen. I don'T see any reason why I would go back to any other ROM.

19441 Antutu score with an overclocked kernel (cpu=1800mhz; gpu=768mhz; DDR=stock). Pity there is no CWM for playing with overclocked kernels (had to use RKAndroidTool to install separate components - and that is not for the faint-hearted).

Darth did it fix your camera issue we briefly discussed before? It di not fix mine. If anyone has any ideas let me know. I had tried instaling the camera app for KK early on when they offered the apps. I could not get rid of the older camera so I went ahead and tried to delete the kitkat camera. Well that appears to have taken something with it and the camera will only work for screen shots now. I would like to get it back before I give this tablet to my daughter as a gift now that it has kitkat.
hello, great custom firmware, even if it is almost perfect, all firmwares have qualities and faultless. I do not know where it comes from, but when the tablet is in standby mode continues to drain the battery, which is not the case with CF TNT and 900SuperSport. I tried to flash it with the CF kernel 900SuperSport and this has not solved the problem. Someone has an idea? Otherwise, for dev's, it would be nice to have a look because this firmware really worth it.
Thank you and good continuation!
Yes, the camera is working.
Thanks. Unfortunately mine is forceclosing each time. If any one has any ideas I'd appreciate it. Think I will reflash to see if that works.
Presumably you are talking about 4.4.2, and presumably you used the "Restore" option in the Batch Tool?
