Thanks, I'll try this too.

I'll eventually go for a USB port substitution, I'm searching for local support.

Annoluce, I am to sorry to hear about your unfortunate brick / USB malfunction. Even though I wrote CWM can't be booted directly from power on (read that info somewhere) it doesn't seem to be universally true. You might want to try this procedure: 1. Switch the tablet off (i switched it off gracefully). 2. Keep volume+ button pressed. 3. Keep power on button pressed as normal to power up the tablet. 4. Release volume+ button after a while. 5. Release power on button when initial logo appears. 6. Enjoy CWM. 7. Attempt recovery steps from CWM (reflash zip, clear cache etc, whatever).   Disclaimer: well this at least worked here to my surprise. For record I am on 2.04 final with manually installed Generic CWM 6.0.3.1. Haven't had an opportunity and motivation to try out ROM and update.zip from this thread myself yet.   No hope. I did exactly the steps you described but when I release volume+ the tablet does not lit. Tried every other timing/combination. I'm starting to think I flamed out 200 euro in the wind. I run out of options, do you? I can't even get a single mail replied from the 51cube support.

What works for me with funs generic cwm.

Turn off tablet.

Hold down vol+ button.

Connect power lead, keeping vol+ held down until cwm appears.

I have a tablet with 100% working HW ....

"100% working" with no USB? The real reason you might have to throw it away is because USB is not working.

Come on DarthJabba, you know what I mean.

Even with USB not working, the tablet was 100% enjoyable, provided that it was given the right ROM. This is the problem, I had a not optimized ROM and I had to change. I'm not blaming no one, not even in subtext. Since your ROM seems to be working fine with other users, I have to assume I've been not lucky at all. I decided to go for it. Too bad it did not work for me.

No, I don't know what you mean. My point is that you need to focus on the real problem, which is a non-functional USB port. If it were me, I would be looking into why the USB port is not working, and whether it can be fixed. A non-functional USB port is a serious hardware fault. It should not happen - and the fact that it has happened is indicative of something having gone awry, of which this may just be a symptom. And - unless and until the USB port is fixed there would always be a danger of this happening again.

I had a similar problem after installing the ROM with CWM,but did not display external storage (SD card). And probably because it did not work via USB.So I put the ROM without CWM and the problem is solved. But I do not know why this was so.

Mount the sd card

Look at notification " you have to format the sd card"

Press this message

The sd card will be formated

All goes correct

I do like this

Hi guys,

internal memory can be formatted to NTFS? It could thus achieve certainly higher speed copying and saving files larger than 4 GB. thanks

Okay, so android police posted that modern combat 4 is .99 at the app store. I tried to buy it but its saying its not compatible with my "device", whose name I haven't changed from the Darth Jabba rom as it was downloaded so the play store is reading it as GT-P7500, though I did update the name on the play store dashboard from what was there "unknown device" to the GT-P7500.

Is it just a phone game and not for tablets? Does anyone know?

edit: Nerver mind it seems its for phones only.. :-{

Well after an hour, the message came back. "unfortunately, com.android.provision has stopped."

also, when switching between users, it reboots sometimes. I guess I'll have to go back to Kasty rom

Unfortunately DarthJabba's CWM Rom did not solve the battery drain issue on my tablet.

Al and everyone else with the "unfortunately, com.android.provision has stopped." problems.

Make sure that you have all MicroSD and USB cards out of the Tablet when updating using CWM.   The install file should be from the NAND flash partition.  I originally installed the latest stock CWM Rom and had to reformat my NAND flash for the NAND Flash to be recognized.  I did this from the storage menu on the tablet.  Then I moved the DarthJabba CWM Rom to the NAND Flash drive.   I then flash in CWM and it worked.

When I flashed from the External MicroSD card it came up with the "unfortunately, com.android.provision has stopped.".

Just something to try.   Cheers.

com.android.provision If this happens on first install, its generally caused by the system looking for something that was removed. Such as Mms.apk

You could try putting it back and then flashing and after first boot remove it again.

Unless Dartha can fix the permissions to stop it from calling on that apk.

If you work that out please post how too.

Thanks.

Ok I'll try this. The system keeps freezing to, mostly after It has been in standby mode for  some time.  I'm I the only one that this is happening too?  On the other hand,  I love the multi-user feature.
