I do exactly like you but all is running ok for me

It seems that in many ways the reboot is instable , once ok, once bad and so on

@casauconlamchuyen - that problem (as a google search will show) can arise from any number of sources, including removing Phone.apk. I don't have the problem, and have never seen it - but there are many reported issues about it on Google. Some people seem to solved it by removing /data/data/com.android.provision/ folder, and some seem to have solved the problem by replacing /system/app/Provision.apk (in the ROM) with a different version (I assume that the effect of this is to force the app to recreate its data). Of course one could remove the whole /data/data folder - but then you would lose all your app settings, which defeats the purpose of using a CWM install. If you can boot to CWM Recovery, then it is easy to create a mod that will remove the /data/data/com.android.provision/ folder. Perhaps I will integrate this into the next release of the mod.

@validatus - rebooting can take longer, but I have no experience of instability. What happens when it is "bad" ?

How to modify file system.img to delete /data/data/com.android.provision in your ROM DarthJabba?

It is not in system.img - it is a directory on the tablet itself (in the /data directory).

@ DarthJabba. I did the same yesterday and nothing wrong happened. Your mod is working very smoothly. Thanks for it very much! I had no problems with battery drain working on last Kasty rom. Therefore it was really surprising for me to read that so many users are claiming having that issue. Even more than that I am one of those few users who need gsm dongle very much. I am using mobile internet dongle every third day due to lack of wi-fi at one of my working places. Therefore to use wifi-only mod is absolutely unacceptable for me. I was trying to copy Mms.apk, Phone.apk and TelephonyProvider.apk from /system/appk to my sdcard, to remove them from a.m. folder and after installing your mod again copy them back to /system/appk. Unfortunatelly, after rebooting the system those three applications could be seen in File Manager without tipical icons (only the blank ones). When I tried to install them by ApkInstller it resulted immposible as it cannot see applications which are inside /system/appk folder. Then I was trying to do the same placing copied appks on my external-sd card. They were installed succesfully in accordance with the information on the screen. After rebooting system nothing happend. My dongle was trying to connect internet but failed. I was trying to do anything possible forcing to install those appks. In vain.

Finally I found your "phone_install_cwm.zip" located within other topic of this forum, rebooted to cwm and got the proper installation. Now I have your mod with mobile internet capabilities working very smoothly  and I am really happy with it! Thank you really very much! The greatest advantage of your mod is saving plenty of work while flashing any next Kasty rom. Of cource, only when you will prepare its zipped mod.

Install the attached mod from CWM Recovery. It will clear the cache, the dalvik-cache, and the /data/data/com.android.provision folder. After you reboot the tablet again, you will need to wait for about 10 minutes for the dalvik-cache to be rebuilt.

Hopefully, it will sort out the problem. If it doesn't, then you will need to install the official Kasty rom again.

Thanks all for your reports. I just need now to know whether the cache_clear mod (above) solves the occasional com.android.provision problem. If it does, then I will integrate it into the next release of the mod ...

The problem "com.android.provision" I can not solve

so I came back flashing ROM kasty-cube_u30gt2-422-204_20130810-cwm_rooted4d

and I reboot to CWM Recovery to RE-INSTALL your ROM kastycube_u30gt2422204_20130810rooted4d_darthjabba_201309071424

So lucky, this time your ROM works. so great...

I don't understand what happened... ?????

So the cache_clear mod above did not work?

I do not use your file: cache_clear. So I do not know it works or not.

I flash ROM Kasty CWM again and go to Recovery re-install your ROM DarthJabba

And it works....

Hmm ... strange!

Anyway, I will add the feature to the next release of the rom.
