Hi all,
I'm trying to determine whether I'm getting a battery or charger issue with a second U30GT2 unit. I've already replaced the battery once, and here I am experiencing the battery issue again twice. I thought it was just a soldering issue so I went ahead and re-soldered. I also explored different ROM versions. For the kernel, I kept it stock, this second unit isn't equally built with the first one, and anything other than the stock frequencies end up to an infinite boot loop.
So prior to purchasing another battery (after replacing the bloated original 2 months ago), is there anything else that I should check? As the subject mentions, I suspect there could be a grounded electrical piece somewhere that could also be causing this, but I'm not sure. The only lead I have with this is that whenever I turn on the unit, there's a quick hissing / static sound from the speaker. Likewise whenever I lock the unit and it goes to sleep mode, the same sound can be heard.
Any images that I can compare with to check if there's indeed evidence of grounding somewhere in my unit?
TIA!
