Read this to understand more about the flashing concept

Thanks for replying..may be I forgot to mention that I got Cube U30GT2 device yesterday..and since Wi Fi is not working , I can't update it to the recent rom  v. 1.3 released by Cube to fix the wireless issue .  so the tablet is useless for now , till i can upgrade the firmware. I asked for help on how to proceed with the downloaded firmware upgrade . How to use the rockchip batch tool to do that.

Thanks again

1: Download the firmware
2: Download the flashing tool
3:Get the tablet in flashing mode (using a key combination which is usually power and volume key -, but you need to find out which is on your tablet, or you can use adb, with the command adb reboot bootloader)
4:Select the firmware with rockchip flashing tools
5:If you see a green square box (or blue) you are ready to flash
6:Use the restore option to flash, select it, wait till everything is finished
7: Everything should work, your tablet should boot in the new firmware.

@globula_neagra:  Thank you very much for this short tutorial, it works great this way.

If there are any problems with the U30GT2 usb driver, CHANGE THE USB CABLE! (as mentioned here: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/archos-arnova-general/possible-fixes-and-repair-methods-for-your-rockchip-tablet/ )

Yesterday I was trying for hours to make the driver work, today, after 2 minutes, done (Windows 7, x64, VirtualBox).

This probably helps others, too ;-)

I have difficulty to flash new firmware into U30GT2.  Windows driver was installed correctly.

However, the flash tool was not able to detect it.  Below is how I resolved this issue.

The flash mode should be enable through below sequences instead of holding volume + and

power at the same time which might enable U30GT2 some operating mode other than flash mode.

    a. power off U30GT2

    b. hold volume + button

    c. connect USB between U30GT2 and PC

    d. hold power button until PC detects new device

Hi do you stop step b when you move on to step d ? or do you still hold the volume+ whilst pressing the power button ? Thanks
