Hi guys.

This is my very first post so please be gentle.

English is my second language so do your best to ignore my mistakes.

The question is: has anyone used Helium or Carbon backup with this tablet? I tried everything and it still won't recognize the pc app.

The usb drivers are already installed and I'm already ready to install my 1st custom rom, so lack of drivers shouldn't be an issue.

I also tried activating debug mode and changing usb pc connection to PTP (camera mode).

Please help me backup some of my app data so I can finally move on to a custom rom.

Thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem when trying to manually root the device. Apparently ere are two different drivers, one used for flashing (the one you seem to have installed) and another used for rooting (and perhaps might help you with your app).

What i did was, manually uninstall the rockchip drivers, then installed a software on the pc, called moroboro ( i think..., google it) and then I connected the tablet to the usb port and let moroboro install the driver. Then, after the moroboro was properly installed ( and it also installs an app on your tablet) and after i could see the tablet screen on the moroboro applicatio on the pc, I was able to root.

Perhaps those steps help you.

Good luck and let us know if it helped.

Cheers.

Frank.

I used it a while back, and it worked. However, I have switched completely to Titanium ...

@francsal

Thanks m8, I'm going to try that and see if it works.

@DarthJabba

I wish my tablet was rooted so I could use Titanium (or the other backup methods on Helium).

***UPDATE***

The Moborobo thing worked!!! Thanks so much!
