Ok guys, here's the v2.06 20131017 Kasty ROM in CWM upgrade format:

http://www.arctablet.com/users/forum/kastycube_u30gt2422206_20131017_rooted4_darthjabba_201310211929.zip

* This mod is based on; kasty-cube_u30gt2-422-206_20131017_rooted4
* This mod is set for 4GB data partition.

CHANGES to the Kasty ROM:
1. The Phone stuff has NOT been removed (i.e., no changes here!).

2. Some unnecessary library files (relics from removed Chinese apps) have been deleted.

3. Multi-user mode is enabled by default (fw.max_users=5)

4. Some extra user apps added (e.g., Dolphin browser, Reboot, Bitdefender Antivirus, Master Key dual fix, Nova Launcher, Bluebox security scanner, bash, etc.)

5. persist.sys.ui.hw set to "false" (allows some games to play)

6. ro.rk.systembar.tabletUI set to "true" (solves wallpaper stretch problems)

7. Timezone set to London

8. Language/locale set to GB and English

9. Tablet set to announce itself as GT-P7500 (Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1) – this is for better compatibility with Google Play apps

Installation:

0. Eject and remove any external SD card

1.  Copy this zip file to the tablet's internal SD card (i.e., NAND)

2.  Reboot the tablet to CWM Recovery

3.  Select "Install zip from sdcard"

4.  Then select "Choose zip from sdcard"

5.  Scroll on the SD card to this zip file, and select it

6.  Confirm that you do want to install it; the installation process will take several minutes.

7.  The tablet will reboot back to the CWM Recovery

8.  Select "Reboot system now"

9.  Go and make a cup of tea and sandwich.

10. Drink the cup of tea and eat the sandwich; make sure you spend at least 10 minutes doing this.

11. Come back to the tablet after 10 minutes. Everything should be ready now.

NOTES:

A. You may need to reboot the tablet once or twice for things to settle down completely.

B. You might get Maps force-closing once or twice (it happened to me)

DISCLAIMER:
You use this mod entirely at your own risk! If your tablet is bricked, then that is too sad.

If you are worried about bricking your tablet, then STOP RIGHT NOW !!!

So this one has nothing to do with your clocked/overclocked rom versions and with the #38 kernel correct? Will you be incorporating yours to the Kasty?

No changes to kernel, etc. This kernel is reported as #12 (go figure!). I have no idea whether kernel #38 (overclocked or not) will work with v2.06. You could always try - but I am not currently that brave.

PS: the kernel #38 images are not mine - they are from a Russian forum ...

Yah i know # 38 is not yours, but the rom is yours. I'll stick with your last rom then. And thanks for all your hard work. 38 might not be yours, but a kernel by its self is not a rom. Credit to the person who created #38, and credit to you for your own efforts

I just flashed this to my Tablet and it's not booting all the way.  It gets stuck right when it shows the ArcTool circle logo.  I guest I'm gonna re-flash the other 2.06.  It would have been nice if it worked.

It works here. I flashed it again, after reading all the above, and everything works perfectly. I think we need to find out what is common among all the devices having this problem. The possible culprits are:

1. Not having 4GB data space

2. A version of CWM that is problematic. Which version of CWM recovery are you all using?

3. The size of this ROM/CWM package, which is about 100MB bigger than the previous ones (but if this is the real problem, then I should be having the same issues).

Have 4gb data space

have version 6.0.3.1 CWM

Gets stuck like other say. Looked at original Kasty cube image and saw the system area was increased in size. Titanium backup shows the current system size as 403 MB on V2.04 20130807

Maybe we do not have the space for the system.

I also have the version 6.0.3.1 CWM. It is included in the 2.0.4 test version (july 27)
I tried to use this rom to update to the 2.96 test, but it stuck at the arctablet logo.

I would like to eliminate one variable if possible. For those who are having problems, can you please confirm that the tablet is actually connected to the mains power while you are installing the DarthJabba mods?

Thanks.
